We had been to this restaurant over the weekend for lunch. Decent restaurant, run by a family. We had Chaats, Naans, Paneer... curries, and Rice. Taste is good. But, price is exorbitant as compared to other Indian restaurants in Des Moines. And for thatprice, the portion size is really very small. One Main Course / Curry would not be sufficient for 2 people. Just for 3 Naans andrice, we had to order 2 curries. Just for the 2 of us - lunch - we final amount was $80. We've been here quite a few times. And,everytime, we have felt the same - quantity and price are not proportionate. We only visit this restaurant when we've tried outall options and we have no other place to go. In this age of inflation, too much to pay for a lunch. Read more

This place has some of the best Indian food in the greater Des Moines area. Good portions other than the non which you only get... one piece the size of pita chopped into 4 small slices. Read more

This place is easy to drive by but you shouldn't. Looks to be family owned and has great casual service and (as much as I have... expertise) extremely authentic dishes. Everything I tried here was very tasty and everyone had plenty to eat from the portions. Read more

We love Indian food and I've visited India a number of times. This was our first Indian restaurant visit in the Des Moines area... and we took our parish Priest along, who is from the southern part of India. We started with the Naan Bread Basket and DelhiChaat (see pictures). Both were good and although the chaat was served differently than what I've enjoyed in India, the tastewas still great. I had the Chicken Korma for my meal, which was served with perfectly-prepared Basmati rice. I ordered 4 outof 5 on the spiciness scale and thought it was just right for my taste. We visited this restaurant recently. The girl who assists in seating and taking orders was very courteous. We went on a weekday... evening with no other diners. We wanted Choley Bature and though it was not in their menu card, they were courteous to prepareit for us impromptu. I appreciate them going the extra step towards customer satisfaction. Ambience was decent and I reallyliked the Samosa chat and the fresh fulkas. I would recomment this place definitely. They serve beer and non-vegetarian Indiandishes as well. Read more

Delicious and authentic Indian food. Great service. Will definitely be back. I liked that they offered choice of spiciness from... 1 to 5 so both of us could have perfect dishes, and they were spot on. Read more
