Love this place...got hooked in undergraduate and even over 20 years later I do my best to visit when I'm in town. Disappointed... that they don't have jalapeno and carrots anymore, but best burrito around! Traveled from NYC and made TWO trips. Read more
Pros: Great food and the burritos are one of the best in the area. Eat in and have unlimited sauce for burritos, tacos, etc. See... below why I only gave them 3 stars. Cons: Male staffs are creepy. They will stare and leer at your wife, girlfriend, daughters,etc (most noticably the cooks). They will continue to stare once you sit down at a table and make it obvious when talking to theother coworkers. Different friends on different occasions will tell me they feel uncomfortable and would want to switch seatswhere they are out of view. Read more

My best friend and I were in Gurnee for a trip for a while, on the last day when we were heading back home I asked to stop at... this place so we can get some tacos and I wanted to get a burrito. I got a ground beef burrito, and he ordered three chickentacos, when we pulled out the drive-thru we're going down to the Family Dollar down the street to get drinks. I checked our foodrealized that he got steak tacos instead of chicken. We went back and told them that they got his order wrong, and they had noproblem fixing it and giving him the actual chicken tacos and apologized, so that was a good part. However, I got there 2/3 ofthe way down and almost finished when I took a bite and realized there was something hard, when I took it out of my mouth Irealized it was like a stick or something I ended up throwing away the rest of my burrito because I was afraid there wassomething else in it that I shouldn't eat. Mexican comfort food at great prices with lightning fast service. If everything wasn't fresh made you would think this was fast... food. Yep. Got my meal before my mouth knew it was ready. One of the best burrito places I've been to! On par with the best authentic burrito places in Los Angeles! I ordered burrito... with lengua(cow tongue) with extra meat and boy my burrito was ginormous for only $8!! The sauces are really good too! Thelengua was so flavorful and tender and just melts in my mouth!! Will come back for more! The girl server was rude tho. Iordered for to go and asked for a box and she gave me the dirty look. Really good tacos. The staff is really friendly. Be mindful: They only take cash. I go once a week to get 3 steak tacos.
