This used to be one of our favorite restaurants...today wasn't so good. We were seated quickly. Three servers were talking,... leaning against the wall near the entrance to kitchen area, while we waited 10 or more minutes for one to come over, and yesthey did see us. First he went over and wiped off a booth table, then walked away again. Finally came back. We ordered sodasand our meal at the same time since we already waited so long. One meal was wrong, I ordered beef fajita taco salad and no sourcream, and he brought chicken...then tried to tell me I said chicken...which I didn't, because when my husband ordered, he saidhe'd have the same thing but with the sour cream. He got his beef, so ??????????? By the time I got my correct food, my husbandwas finished. It wasn't that busy in our section, they had allot of people "working" more than I've ever seen there. Love the food, staff is always friendly, but the frozen drinks were very weakly flavored where they're usually quite good! ***... Went back today for lunch and all has returned to it's former level of deliciousness and the drinks were fantastic!! *** Read more
Better than most Mexican Resteraunts in the area. Enchillada was realy good. Taco's could use more seasoning. Beans and rice... were good. Waitress was very friendly. Place was very clean. Hit the seasoning a bit harder please. Read more
Food was not so good. Sauce on the tamales was horrible, ended up throwing out 3/5 of my meal $20.+ Ribeye steak was mostly... grizzle and fat, the rest was undercooked and came to me luke warm. On the plus side waitress was amazing. If your not familiarwith Mexican food the menu is absolutely no help. Hardly any pictures on the menu, 6 pages of dishes. Was very confusing. Read more
Casual mexican sit down (or carry out) with a great selection and quick service. El Mezcal is always busy when I drive by so we... finally decided to try after a long day out... No wait despite lots of people there and a fairly full lot. We were seated andserved fresh warm chips and salsa right away. I can't speak to the drinks but they do have 2 for 1 margarita specials some days,in addition to very well priced tacos that are fully loaded and served piping hot. My tween was full and happy after two tacosand a bowl of rice and beans. I enjoyed the Chicken Tropical tacos which were perfectly cooked and delicious, would order again.Server was excellent with the kids and very responsive, overall the atmosphere is a little loud for deep conversation, buttypical for a busy restaurant. Nice indoor dining atmosphere, and they even have outdoor seating. The horchata was good. I?m giving this place 3 stars mostly... due to the marginal quality of the ingredients, particularly the ?cheese? used in 3 different entrees: a bland, thin, and oilyqueso-like blend of mediocrity. Read more
Love that they have birthday specials... got a free deep fried ice cream for my birthday (they also offer me a shot of tequila-... had to decline).. great staff, superb food and price was good... highly recommended.. service was fast Read more
