We stopped by to try their drinks, and it was my first time here. I usually go to one in my own town in IL often, but we were up... here for the weekend on a getaway. As I walked in, I noticed how beautiful the interior was, it was a large store, but cozy andwarm looking for the Winter. As I got to the counter, the mood had shifted completely. One of the employees with blonde hairthat I greeted was clearly in a bad mood and it showed throughout the whole visit, couldn't even look at her. I saw the menus onthe counter, and was trying to figure out what I wanted to order, I then was told by this employee to order on the slip they hadprovided, without saying much else, she was mainly quiet the entire time. I was a bit confused with the ordering process, thatwas when another employee greeted me, and asked if it was our first time, so she explained the process, and I got my order in, aSnickerdoodle shake. The employee who was in a bad mood was making my shake had made it great, regardless of her mood. Iunderstand bad days happen, but it was no excuse to exhibit that type of emotion at a job. The other employee, she was supernice to talk to, and reminded me of girls at the other shop back home, she talked about the shop and how long she's been workingthere, she was very friendly and down to earth in general. I loved her hair! We chatted about the crummy weather. I felt muchbetter and comfortable being there, after all. First things first, if you have questions just ask. The first time going here can feel a little daunting with the amount of... choices you have but you can just ask and the staff is more than happy to answer. The second thing I would suggest is to bringyour own, large enough cup or ask for a glass so you don?t need to use the plastic cups...creating more waste. After we weregiven our options for shots, drinks and malts we were all pleasantly surprised at how good they were and were pretty full afterdrinking all that was provided. I thinking this could be an option as a lunch supplement rather than a burger, but either way I will definitely be going back! Read more
My wife and I went for the first time this morning and we will definitely be returning! The staff was amazing and super... friendly. I believe her name was cindy, but she went above and beyond in walking us through the menu. We just moved from Madisonto wausau and we're welcomed here with open arms. One of my go-to places! I absolutely love Peak and their employees! Everyone is extremely friendly and sooo nice! I appreciate... that they remember their guests! The owners are soooo great and take pride in what they do! Would recommend stopping here ifyou?re in the area! It is sort of over-whelming when coming in for the first time, but they explain it great!! Ps - bring backstrawberry truffle.???? Read more
Just went here for the first time today. Normally everywhere you go it feels rushed and chaotic and it feels like people are... just trying to get you to move along. We came in. Didn't even expect to sit down and stay a while but we did. We're treatedfantastic. And as we were leaving I glanced at the door and saw they closed at 2pm. It was 2:40 when we were walking out and noone said anything. Just treated us like we were the best guests ever. You just don't get kindness like that anymore.
