Bland or salty you would get one or the other. It reminded me of bulk frozen food cooked with either far too much salt or... nothing. The sweet and sour chicken was mostly breading if any chicken. Also some of the food wasn’t very warm, took one biteand that was enough of a lukewarm buffet. The salad bar I should of taken a picture they had bottles of salad dressing youwould buy in the grocery store. We sat our whole meal with only one drink. The server ignored us and we had both empty cup on edge of table for him to see.... Ignored it the four times he walked past our table to sever the table next to us. He picked up our plates and saw our empty cupsand never came back. He would watch us eat with no drink. Honestly don’t know if it was because he was racist towards us orwhat but definitely felt mistreated. Never again going back. Read more
I don't like to leave bad reviews. But after reading other people's experiences, it's clear that the problem isn't going to go... away and this is the only action that can be taken. My wife was scolded today by the staff for not finishing her plate. Mywife, a grown woman and mother of four, was scolded like a toddler for "wasting food." If an establishment is going to treatcustomers this way, the food had better be phenomenal. I am here to tell you - it's... fine. Nothing worth being treated thisway over. It's clear that this man has a chip on his shoulder and, reading through other one star reviews, it's apparent thatwe're not the only ones who he's been rude to. Obviously he's not going away or changing his behavior. If you're ok with thethreat of being shamed for not eating everything, by all means, enjoy Fortune Kitchen. Clean your plate or the manager will scold you like a child at your table. This is not a joke. He will berate an adult to their... face for not eating their food. I used to love this place and I came all the time. I recommend it to everyone. I will not returnas long as the current manager is employed there and will tell everyone I know to stay away. Read more
We stoped going to this place Because the waiter was asking my girlfriend personal questions about our relationship. I decided... to go back in there after a year by my self to see if it had changed and it didn't. Very rude waiter my bill was on my tablebefore I even sat down. I had to get up and get a refill on my tea and the waiter saw me but didn't even come over so someoneelse helped me and unfortunately didn't get me the correct drink. When I stated it to the waiter he told me to go back and sitdown and he will get my drink very rudely. This place use to be nice to go into but now that is running the show I see whypeople tell me that they don't go there anymore. They need to get rid of the rude sarcastic so-called waiter and get some realpeople in there maybe they might get some more business. We all decided to go to the one in Napoleon now which is so much nicerthe food is hot and the people are nice. Good luck Read more
If I could leave less stars I would. Should have known it was a mistake as soon as we were not greeted..... Just grunted at. ... Food looked like it had been sitting since 2pm....it was after 7pm......no water refill.... Many empty or almost empty pans.... $13 for old food is not acceptable. Then go to pay and the woman behind desk SUPER RUDE..... forced to pay cash unless youwanted to pay an extra 5%. When expressed that seemed high.... ZERO STARS!!!!!!! 3 kids 2 adults and 5% extra to pay with card was 70 DOLLARS! My bill had and extra 5 dollar add on for... "service room $1/p =$5". We literally sat in the dining room. So we got charged to eat their bland, room temperature food. Theguy ( I'm assuming the same one in previous reviews) asked to take 2 plates. The kids weren't done so I declined... his snobbyresponse was "sorry to offend you". EXTREMELY RUDE. we traveled to all get together for this dinner so we were there for 2hours.. never once got a refill. We got stared at constantly to where a 4 year old was concerned. The women almost ran the childover on her way to the buffet, then later bent over right in front of her almost putting her behind right on her face. Absoluteworst experience I have ever had out to eat at a restaurant. I will one thousand percent refuse to ever eat there again and Iwill share our experience to literally everyone I come in contact with. The disrespect to a paying customers whom have donenothing wrong is absolutely asinine. I hope they get shut down. The community deserves better.... Read more
