Employees are always friendly, discount on gas- they have stuff other places don't. Good place to shop - my only criticism is... the sackers tend to smoosh my bread & or chips. Read more
An attempt at a somewhat upscale grocery shopping experience..and is, as far as aesthetic and assistance provided by the... *grocery* staff. If you need help finding something, they are happy to walk you to said item; instead of leaving you to find iton your own, which is nice... however, the customer service provided by the cashiers/front end always leaves something to bedesired. I live in Houston but when I'm in town visiting family in the area, I love doing my shopping here. Great selection and the staff... are all very friendly. Mary is a cashier there and she is always so lovely when I visit. I thoroughly enjoy all of the localitems that I can't get in Houston and conversations with Mary each and every time! Read more

Only place in town to find Old Dutch puff corn. I have been shopping there for almost 20 years. Brand new deli, bakery and... artisan cheese. I also found the holiday Miller Champagne bottle for only $2.99. Thank you Sentry!!! Read more
Most of my photos of Metcalf's are of their very tasteful and elegant liqour section. It truly is beautiful. The ambience drew... me to it right away. Before I went there I notice very gorgeous floral arrangements in the floral department. As I perused theseareas I took many photos. I thought a layout this organized and elegant should be shown for people to see so that can come andview what Metcalf's has to offer their customers. Apparently I was over ambitious. Just as I finished with the liqour departmenta security member approached me and asked what I was doing. I explained that I was a volunteer Local Google Maps Guide and whatthat entails. He was concerned that I might be "part of the competition." Another way of saying that is "CorporateEspionage." I'm familiar with this problem and it absolutely occurs. However I wouldn't be that obvious if I were engaging inthat type of activity, I'm way smarter than that. So security asked me to leave and escorted me out of the building! They reallydon't understand the impact that Local Guides have on any given place. Pictures especially!! I would think they would wantpeople to see what they have to offer. I would have loved to photographed the rest of Metcalf's; it is a very nice place. Read more
I got chuck roast beef for 5.99 lb. Got approximately $16 worth of it. Came with 1 lb potatoes, 1 lb baby carrots, and 1 lb... onions for free from the newspaper deal. It's going to be a awesome night. Water refills at .49¢ a gallon. Read more
