If you want to experience some of the best Italian food the Milwaukee area has to offer, you've come to the right place. Make no... mistake, you are going to pay for it, Ristorante is not cheap. That said, the food is absolutely excellent. A new "taste ofItaly" menu brings a different dining experience, but as soon as you get past that distinctly American expectation for 50different dishes offered, settle in, pick an app, pasta dish, meat dish, and dessert, and enjoy a feast! In general, meats areexpertly cooked, pasta dishes are exquisite, especially cream based dishes, most menu items are very close to authentic Italian. The only downsides, the ambiance is less than for me unless you go early, too many tables packed in make for a very loud diningroom. And pains me to say as an Italian, their desserts are good, but cannot compare to the French establishment across thestreet. Read more

Expensive and seating was not fun. Sat next to a table of 14 in a completely different building. 1 (poor) waitress for 20 some... people. Drinks took 25 minutes to get, but the food was good at least. Would not recommend. 3 stars at best for the experience Read more

Disappointed with the extreme lack of awareness of the management. They put us in a room outside of the restaurant in another... building where private events are held. They threw us in a small room with a table of 16. It was truly an awful experience.Spending $500 on an evening for my birthday was actually spent with screaming children and the party FaceTiming everyone theycould possibly imagine. There was no music just a extremely loud table. Highly selfish of management to allow a table in thatroom and pretend it’s acceptable. The poor waitress had to grab drinks from the other side of the restaurant, which took along time. She did her best and grateful she tried. It was almost humiliating that they assumed we thought it was okay to throwus up there. Also, the bathrooms were littered with old paper towels and toilet paper. My step-son has worked and trained as asous chef at a Michelin Star restaurant. This experience was an insult to the Bartoltta’s name. Read more

Good service, good food. It’s small on the inside so if you don’t like to be close to other people it wouldn’t be... comfortable. Read more

The service is great, the terrace is lovely, beautiful ambiance. The food is good BUT overpriced and portions are SUPER small,... it is not a michelin star restaurant and the quality is average. That said, both me and my wife puked after the dinner and notgoing to come back. Read more

This place is incredible! The menu is sophisticated from drinks to food to after dinner. The regional focused seasonal menu... changes approximately every 4 weeks I was told. The attention to detail for the chosen dishes was really impressive. The foodwas fantastic and I can’t say enough! This place is a true gem that should not be missed! Read more

I generally don't like Italian food, but this is my favorite restaurant in the area. They serve true Italian food, inspired by a... different region of Italy each month. All four courses are great, but the standouts are the pastas, which are rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and any seafood based dishes, since the chef really seems to know how to treat seafood. And it's always achallenge to pick just one dessert. Wine list is extensive, cocktails and coffee are excellent too. The staff is veryknowledgeable, friendly, and down to earth. Read more

I went here for my fiancée's birthday. They do have excellent vegan options even though they aren't listed except for the... salad. I was able to do the 4 course meal comple with vegan dishes. They have a wonderful vegetable spaghetti and bean risottoas well as a raspberry sorbet. It was nice to see that they put an allergy tag in my risotto so it didn't get mixed up with onethat had dairy. Service is excellent as well. It is expensive but for special occasions that's okay.
