Worst customer service ever! My wife and I were expecting an uneventful dinner on a Monday night at Yamato. Service was... initially a bit slow but it was crowded - so not a big deal. My entree arrived before my wife's so I began eating slowly. Iwas almost done when hers finally arrived but the order was wrong (she ordered soy paper wrap but it was made with seaweed wrap- non-starter). I had completed my meal by this time so my wife was going to cancel her order. I asked to speak with themanager and she offered to take her meal off the bill. I specifically asked her if my wife waited for her sushi to be re-madeif it was complimentary and she said yes. Her meal finally came and when the bill came, her meal was on the bill. I told ourserver that the manager said she would take it off the bill. She sent the manager back to our table and the manager said shemeant that she would take it off the bill if she canceled her order. Well, I didn't need for her to agree to that. If wecanceled it I certainly wasn't going to go ahead and pay for it! At that point she said she would take 50% off my wife's meal. I told her that was not what she agreed to. She said that was all she would do so I said fine but I told her we would not becoming back. Her response was "OK". When I received the bill, the price that was charged for my entree was $18.95 instead of$15.95. I pointed that out to my server with the menu and she changed it back to the correct amount - $15.95. Unbelievablethat they would try to recoup a few bucks because they discounted my wife's entree. I understand stuff happens and service canat times be slow and mistakes happen, but I expect for people (especially businesses) to take responsibility for their mistakesand, more importantly, keep their word and not lie to their customers. I love ?? love loved it. I forgot to get the waitress's name. She was soo attentive. The appetizer Dancing Crab was... delicious. The chef did a freaking fantastic amazing art job on the plate, I thought it was a decorative plate HECK no thatthe Chef's work of art. Totally Amazing Read more

The food was really good! We had the Yamato roll with a filet mignon and lobster entree. For appetizers, their crab Rangoons... were good! Service was quick and very attentive. Definitely a date favorite in Bay St. Louis Read more

If I could describe this place with one word it would be "UNBELIEVABLE". Everything we ordered was fresh and tasted so delicious... and the proportions were great for what they cost. We ordered the Pink Lady & Volcano sushi, the kids Hibachi steak meal, thedinner Hibachi Chicken with miso soup and ginger salad, and fried cheescake. Everything surpassed my expectations. DO NOT AND I REPEAT. Do not go here! Not only do they steal your money you do not get your food. I had done a online order.,... called and paid over the phone because my daughter was going to pick it up. Not only did they give my order to someone else theynever made what I ordered. Never refunded my money. When I called to speak to them about it they kept saying they didn't chargeme. When I'm literally sitting here staring at my checking account saying yes they did asking for a email to forward the chargeproving yes they did. They never called me back to fix this. Not reputable. Told me I had to correct this when they were theones that screwed up. This isn't the 1st time it happened either. I figured couldn't happen twice. But 3 times. Come on now.When you turn around and try to say you ordered somewhere else. No. Especially when the charge is in your name. You call therestaurant and pay over the phone. Extremely polite people. Great tasting food. You don't feel like you are a bunch of grease after you're done. I ordered the... salmon hibachi dinner. It came with a house salad and miso soup. Also got the dinosaur eggs, sashimi, and a number 13 (forgotthe name) special roll. Read more

Super place in the Bay, small and intimate. Get the “dinosaur egg” if they have it, it’s a frequent special. Shaped crab... and avocado with sauce and just.... yum!
