This place has a serious problem in their meat department. Over 10 times in the last year I have gotten putridly rotten meat.... Really be careful of the pork because it has been pork every time. Expired meat still on the shelves by over a week. And thentoday I got a pork again, still haven't learned my lesson I guess. Went back to the store to get it replaced. Got home and itsmelled 10 times worse than the one before with a later best by date. Health department surely needs to look into the practicesat this hyvee. Just sad. There is no way that this has happened to me this many times and doesn't happen to a TON of otherpeople. Read more

This place is far better than Fareway in several ways. There is much better variety, and you can get more things in 1 place... (i.e. pharmacy, full deli, bigger bakery.) I feel like the prices aren't any cheaper than any other local grocery store unlessthings are on sale. However if you do an online order, the ppl who pick your order are INCREDIBLY kind. As far as I'm concerned, they are the best! I was having a bad day (like always) when I answered the knock on the door. There... was I nice young lady with gorgeous flowers. But she had the wrong address. Oh well, about a hour later, my door chimedagain and she was back , but she had another vase of gorgeous flowers and they were for me from Hy-vee. I really appreciate this Hy-Vee. I love the variety of fresh produce. Every time I've gone in, the staff have been friendly and... welcoming. Glad to see a variety of sour beers at the wine and spirits. Great store. Read more
