Was visiting friends in Waverly and happened to stop at this sweet place. The waitress and staff were super friendly and very... attentive. My husband and I loved hearing the regulars chat about daily life. The family environment made me miss thewonderful old times. Wish we lived closer. The food was pretty good, the service good and the atmosphere was so cute! We enjoyed our meal but the choices were very limited... for me because I do not like nor can I eat, spicy hot foods! Almost all their vegetables have hot peppers in them!! What's upwith that new fad anyway?? Anyone can ADD spicy pepper to their food AT THE TABLE but I cannot take it out once its cooked in!!It nearly sends me to the hospital with just a few bites! Husband ordered an all meat skillet, which is hash browns 3 meats and eggs in a bowl. I had a western omelette. Rye toast for... both of us and coffee. They have specials for breakfast and lunch. The waitresses are friendly and for large groups they areaccommodating. Read more
Excellent mom and pop resteraunt, delicious home cooking. We had the giant breakfast burritos and they were delicious.

I've NEVER experienced such a wonderful welcoming atmosphere that the servers & hosts provide there at another restaurant/cafe.... The young ladies working there do a fantastic job and always keep me smiling, laughing, my tea glass full and my bellyhappy???? I eat there at least 1-5 times each week. My brother is a regular there too. It's great seeing him smile & laugh! The"Rooster family" are like family to us. ? Read more
