We had enjoyed coming to this restaurant for the last several years we?ve lived in the area. We ordered pickup just the other... night from Tuscan Slice and this most recent experience was a lot different and really disappointing. For one thing, we were abit shocked at how their prices have increased rather significantly. We were disappointed this time in the quality of the food,as well. The $14 side of the Wagyu beef short ribs looked more like a pile of greasy beef mush (as shown in photo). Thespaghetti and sauce that was included with both the Chicken and Eggplant Parmigiana meals we ordered was dried out andtasteless. The crab stuffed mushrooms were cold, disappointing, and not worth the $17 paid for them. The topping on the $9crème brûlée was runny. All-in-all, we had anticipated much more coming from this restaurant in quality and in quantity forthe $100+ spent on this take out experience. Read more
This place was surprisingly nice! It?s likely one of the nicest restaurants in Waxahachie. The staff was very friendly and nice.... The food was absolutely perfect. I had the special surf and turf, and the steak was cooked perfectly and well-seasoned. Myfiancé and son shared a pizza and thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, the drinks were well-made. Looking for wood fired pizza, we came up with this place in Waxahachie to try.This is a full service Italian restaurant, not just pizza. I had the pizza with beef, mushrooms, mozzarella, and pepperonicooked just a little extra as I like mine as crispy as you can get it without burning. Thoroughly enjoyed the flavors from thecrust all on up. Good amount of crispness. The only issue was I asked for the pepperoni to be on top as I like it to crisp upalso, but it was actually on the bottom. Somebody didn't pay attention. Diane had the Italian trio. Each of the 3 (cheesemanicotti, chicken spinach manicotti, and cannelloni) varieties were good in their own way. Good flavor and well done. Herfavorite was the spinach because the flavors of the ingredients melded together in a wonderful explosion in the mouth. Thecheese manicotti was good, but could have had just a little more spices added to make it really good. The Cannelloni was verygood with the chicken and mushroom filling. Again, the alfredo sauce could have been just a bit more flavorful. Overall, though,the dish as a whole was very enjoyable and would definitely be recommended. The only real downer was the free Flatbreadappetizer. While the flavor was delicious, the dough was almost raw and very chewy. When we mentioned it to Grace our server,she just said it depended on the cook. No offer to get some cooked or exchange it for more cooked just kinda "oh well, sorry"but in a sweet-kind way. My wife and I had lunch here recently and it was a great experience. Like almost all the restaurants we go to these days, a... "help wanted" sign was in the window. Any doubts I had about our service being effected due to the restaurant beingshort-staffed, quickly went away. Our waiter, Trevor, was very professional, helpful and observant. The bread was served and itwas really good. I wanted to eat more but I had a panini on the way. The food arrived and I was impressed with the freshness ofthe bread, mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes. Could have had a bit more chicken in it. There were several other items here wewant to try and we look forward to our return trip here. We wanted to try this Italian place and have to say it is delicious. We started off with some good ole cheese sticks. Then with... some bread. Then our main dishes of course, lasagna and chicken alfredo. The dishes were amazing and the restaurant was realnice. The waiter with his very positive attitude just topped the night off real nice. A great find on our way to scream park! Absolutely delicious and outstanding service. Beautifully decorated inside and out.... Could have used a few tuscan chandeliers in the main dining room though. So many of the make servers had the same look I wasjust waiting on them to break out the song and jump on the bar and sing....Bye bye bye. Read more
