I am on the events committee for the Tri-Boro Area Chamber of Commerce and organized this wine tasting event at Gary's Wine.... Everyone who came really enjoyed themselves. The staff at Gary's Wine was superb setting up for us. Special thanks to the stafffor help setting up, and Donna was great to inform us of the different wines we had for the samplings. This is THE best store for wine. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and gives excellent recommendations for whatever price... point you set. Also, the store has the best gourmet cheeses, crackers, chocolates, specialty food items, etc. In addition,Gary?s has seasonal decor such as cutting boards, dishes, glassware, serving plates, salt and pepper shakers, coasters etc. Ihave been to other wine specialty stores, but nothing beats Gary?s! I went in looking for a sweet passito. Luckily, an employee named Thomas asked what I was looking for. He proceeded to not only... show me what I was looking for but even introduced and explained in detail various passito by types, regions, climates, etc. Itwas highly fascinating and I greatly appreciated his font of knowledge. While I came away with a few extra unplanned purchases,I also came away with a deeper knowledge and appreciation for what I was purchasing. Bernardsville- Classic bait and switch. I bought some marginally pricey birth year wines online for pickup. I first get a... message the transaction is pending until reviewed, then another message it has been approved , then another note that it isready for pickup. I live an hour away and I knew the following week I'd be somewhere in that region and can make a detour topick up the bottles. 4 days after the order I stop in to pick up the bottles. The person behind the counter gets the bottlesbut says she the manager wants to speak with me. He comes out and tells me what I ordered was not what was on the website. Whatis on the web was now over double what I paid and gave me a choice to pay the higher amount or I can take what was clearly notwhat I ordered . I said the transaction had been reviewed, approved and in 4 days and no one contacted that there was aproblem. He said he meant to , but had not yet. It was only after along exchange and my pressing was I offered a refund. 4stars for the selection, 1 for the strange / uncomfortable exchange and waste of my time. Read more

Fantastic store. Stopped here for a specific Christmas gift for my Uncle. He was thrilled to receive the Mozart Chocolate... Liquor. Very friendly staff. Huge selection of all wines, beers, spirits. My order was delivered within hours. In the dark, in the rain. The delivery person carried the boxes from the driveway into the... house. Exceptionally fast service, exceptionally kind delivery person. That was a big help and I highly recommend Gary?s! Not tomention great prices! Read more
