The food is okay but it's very pricey. My first order was take out and that went well. The staff was pleasant and helpful. ... On my next visit we decided to eat at the bar. The guy next to me said he had been waiting 45 minutes to get served. I wasstunned to hear that. I didn't time my order but it was very slow to arrive. The bartenders weren't the most friendly untiltowards the end of the night. The drinks were ridiculously over priced. There weren't exactly a ton of people there so theycould have been a little more helpful and timely. Not sure what the problem was but I don't think I will be going back to thisrestaurant again. If I am going to spend stupid amounts of money on food and drinks I expect fast and friendly service. Read more
???????? Estia Taverna- Radnor - Lovely meal and friendly service here. We ordered the octopus that had a fava puree -... extremely delicious and cooked to perfection. Octopus is a very difficult dish to execute well... it comes out slightlyrubbery at about half the places I order it from. ???? It was so tender and seasoned perfectly. The crab cake was alsodelicious. ???? For entrees we got the lamb shank with Orzo which was very delicious. At my server's suggestions, ???? I gotthe TSIPOURA which is a “Royal Dorado,” firm, mild white fish - the sauce on it was very nice but I didn't like the taste ofthe actual fish so our server brought me the seared tuna with tons of sauteed spinach instead - very tasty. ???? The ambiencehere really does transport you to the Aegean sea - both inside and out. They have a very lovely outside setup. Overall, a verydelicious meal and would love to go back.???? Read more
Estia never disappoints. Food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. Thee best hummus I've had at a restaurant. There are... a few locations and I have dined at all three (Center City, Philadelphia), (Radnor, PA), & (Marlton, NJ). My favorite is CenterCity because of the Ambiance and the esthetics of the restaurant. The downside to Center City is the parking is not free, soits sometimes difficult to find parking on the street & your left paying a gazillion dollars to park in a lot. Read more
Superb! First time dining here for a birthday celebration. Food was amazing and our server, Page, was knowledgeable about the... menu, attentive and engaging. We all loved our selections from appetizers to desserts. Can’t wait to go back! Read more
This was our second time at Estia Taverna and it was amazing! We had such a great experience the first time, the food, drinks... and service were awesome so I wanted to come back for my birthday. I'm so glad I did because it was so yummy. I'll definitely beback. My husband has the lamb chops and I had the lobster linguini. Baklava cheesecake is a must!! Read more
For the neighborhood this is a decent spot. Nothing I would write home about, since I was visiting from the SF Bay Area and I... have a plethora of amazing food options there. Estia chips were good, but oily. The rib eye was decent, but nothing that knockedmy socks off and actually it had a lot of gristle. The couple vegetarian dishes were good, specifically the eggplant one. Winewas good. I'm more of a 3.5 on this place. Read more
Fantastic food & great interior. Good for small or large groups. A go-to for my family and I when in town (they also have a... location in Philly proper & other great restaurants from the same owner). This review is based on a large party. Service wasfantastic for a party of 12, which is so difficult to find these days. Due to our large party, we did a prefix menu withappetizers & desserts family style and dinner individual. Apps and desserts were perfectly portioned - everything wasphenomenal. Food/drinks came out in a timely manner. FYI - we’ve done take out for large parties from here several times. Read more
My husband and I were given a gift card for Estia, so we dined here yesterday evening with the intention of trying as many... things as possible. We’d been to the Estia in center city Philly a few times before, but this was our first time at thislocation. I’m happy to report that everything we ordered was spectacular! For appetizers, we ordered the octopodi, friedcalamari, and tuna tartare. For entrees, we ordered the lamb shank, sea bass, and a lamb chop on the side for each of us. I alsoadded a side of the karavides to my entree, upon the server’s suggestion. We appreciated the option to mix and max entrees sothat we could try a variety of dishes. For dessert, we shared the cheesecake, which was decadent, but not too heavy. On top ofall that, we each had several cocktails, which were all amazing. The Zeus’ Mistress was our absolute favorite—I highlyrecommend it! While the price point of this establishment is admittedly on the higher side, it was a very enjoyable diningexperience that I look forward to revisiting for the next special occasion. Read more
