Just came from an awesome dinner at Hops. My mom is new to Waynesboro and brought us there. My brother's Philly Cheese steak... surpassed the best we've had at the Jersey Shore. Such a great place to spend a fun evening with craft food, craft beer, local live music and lots of fun activities for all ages!... Hops Kitchen is a great addition to Basic City Brewery. The food is amazing. I love duck and always order it whenever I comeacross it on a menu. The duck confit tacos do not disappoint! They were wonderful - we also enjoyed the dumplings and lettucewraps all flavorfully prepared with unique flair and eye catching presentations. The service was quick, efficient andfriendly. This is a family owned operation that cares passionately about using fresh, local ingredients and giving you adelightful and tasty experience far from ordinary for pub food -- they have a food truck as well, so this amazing culinaryexperience is now mobile! The BEST. I had the slider trio and it was a delicious burger slider, a mini chicken taco, and a mini grilled cheese, all made... with a fancy twist and paired perfectly with a beer selection. It was so yummy and worth the trip over the mountain! I willdefinitely be coming back. Read more
Well, Hops Kitchen may not have won the Spark Tank Competition (See The News-Virginian 1/15/18) but they definitely are our... Champion! After reading the above-referenced article we were excited to sample their varied and not so predictable menu - wewere not disappointed! My husband tried their Reuben and Baked Beans and I had their Veggie Melt and Buffalo Cauliflower - allwas delicious, with a sophisticated presentation on wooden serving planks! We are looking forward to sampling more of theirmenu - like the wild salmon and Asian-inspired dishes - on our next visit. Check out their menu for yourselves soon!! Read more
What a delicious and inventive menu! Our group split the ?everything but the kitchen sink,? a sampler platter with nachos,... lettuce wraps, slider, dumplings, buffalo cauliflower, and much more. The presentation and mix of flavors on this platter weredelightful and unexpected. We also ordered an HK Burger, the beer battered fish and two specials - a salmon flatbread and Frenchonion soup. Everything was flavorful and the service was warm. The owners are a husband and wife who clearly really care abouttheir product. We?d highly recommend giving this a try. Read more
My wife and I had dinner at Pro Re Nata Brewery, and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Hops Kitchen obviously takes... great pride in their offerings. We had cheese curds, which were a special. Fantastic with a twist of heat! I had the Doahburger with the brussel sprouts w/ bacon jam. Both were tremendous. My wife indulged on the pork Nachos, and said they werethe best she's had in a long time. Can't wait to visit again! Read more
