Date night! My husband has been raving about this place for a few weeks now, so today we had a rare opportunity to have a Date... night. We both opted for a tender steak & shrimp meal (I've forgotten the exact name) with mashed potatoes, wilted, spinach, andCaesar salads. Amazing! He had a raspberry vodka/lemonade cocktail & I had a Hendricks/tonic cocktail. We got there early(around 4:15) to avoid the dinner rush, didn't have to wait to be seated, our server was friendly/prompt and our food was justdelicious! I enjoyed the dinner so very much! The shrimp hushpuppie was delicious! My entree was the Smoked Pork Ribeye with mashed... potatoes and green beans! I have never had a pork chop as delectable as this! I savored every bite! The mashed potatoes were notyour every day kind. They had a different flavor that was intriguing but good at the same time. The 5 is for the food and restaurant. Very tasty and well prepared. We had the haddock special prepared with jasmine rice and... green beans and served with a salad. I had Cob. Salad with grilled chicken. Homemade ranch dressing to accompany it.Delicious! Nice touch in the ladies room as they had facial cleansing wipes and body spray for customers to use. A very nicetouch especially in a town where a lot of business comes from day and through hikers on the AT. Kudos The waitress started outwith a bang and then fizzled out. Was out of water for some time and had to hail her to ask for more. Also not sure if therestaurant serves dessert or not as we were not asked. She just asked if we wanted our check. Delicious food, great music and fabulous service! It had been 4 YEARS since my husband and I have been able to have a dinner... together without our children, it was his birthday and I wanted to take him somewhere nice. The green leaf grill was definitelynot a disappointment. We were seated in a nice quiet corner next to a window. The ambiance was perfect! Dim lighting and livemusic. The entire experience was a 10/10. Logan is an amazing server, great customer service and very professional. She helpedus with the menu choices and we enjoyed every single bite. A quaint little restaurant in the center of the town that had the spirit of like a (fancier) Merlots from True Blood. It has the... feeling of, this is where all the locals go for good food, friendly service, and a homey feel, also where else can you havealligator (though I did not try it because I came specifically because they had salmon and that is what I really wanted thatnight)? On the night we went, there was live guitar music, and I really appreciated that it wasn?t too loud and I could enjoyit and my dinner conversions. The food was good (we had the salmon), and the vegetables were fresh. The spinach was good, thoughI wish I had gotten the green beans. The grilled beet and goat cheese salad, I didn?t really care for, with the shredded beets,and the beets and cheese ratios to lettuce were off for me, so I wouldn?t get that again. The flourless chocolate tort fordessert was good, though maybe a little overly sticky, but still, we had no problem finishing it hahah. From an atmosphere andservice perspective I?d give it 4 stars ????????, for overall food 3.5 stars ???????. I would come here again if I am in thearea again. Read more
