I had the two meat combo plate. The ribs, brisket potato salad and veggie medley. For an appetizer I had the black eye pea stew.... The only thing I ate was the meat and the cup of stew. The service was great. I will try something else next time. Read more

First time getting their barbque and it was fantastic ???? I got the pulled pork, brisket and a rack of ribs along with baked... beans ???? the only reason I did not give 5 stars was due to the ribs being a little dry. The pulled pork and their house madebarbque sauce was really good. Some of the best I have had. Try this place out when you are hungry for some good barbque. Underrated. It was the day after my wedding and the original restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. Fat Buddies took us in... and fed us the country cooking we didn?t know we were missing. I was pleasantly surprised after seeing some of the reviews. They were short staffed and there were two large parties going on... and i still had a reasonable amount of attention. All the food was above average. The brisket had the smokiness you want onthe meat but the sauces are the stars. BBQ is up to individual interpretation for seasoning and they have a variety of BBQsauces from mustard, honey BBQ, hot, and make you cry like a baby spicy. I came here October 2 , 2021 with my family after my youngest niece got married . We were a group of approximately 20 . We... were gonna go to another restaurant , but they couldn't accommodate us due to staff shortage and open tables , as another placewe called said the same thing . We waited outside for like 30 minutes due to they were busy at the time and they could put usall together at a big table on the right side , which we understood and didn't have a problem waiting on it . My son , his wife, and I walked around the shopping center till it was time to meet up with everyone . The last time I came here was lateSeptember 2019 with my sister and my niece . We all had the pulled pork sandwich and it was okay , but I have had much better . I went to 5 bbq places on that 2 week trip and it was my number 4 for pulled pork . This time I got the ribs , fries , beans ,and a piece of Garlic Texas Toast . I don't know why they don't give you cornbread instead of Garlic Texas Toast in a bbq placein the Carolinas . I also got Sweet Tea . Of course since we were a big crowd , we knew the service would be a little slow toaccommodate all 20 of us and it definitely was slow even for our drink orders . The waitresses were friendly though . Overall, everyone didn't seem to be too excited about the food except my brother-in-law who really liked his steak . My ribs werenothing to shout about and even with additional sauce , it just wasn't there . They looked better than they tasted . It waslike they were missing something for the flavor . They were cooked properly . The beans were pretty good . Overall , we werehappy to get a place for all of us to eat and talk and celebrate her wedding . In the area there doesn't seem to be many bbqplaces close by except I know there is one in Maggie Valley and my sister said it is not good . My boyfriend and I ate here and had a really nice time. We were seated immediately. I got the fried chicken tenders platter with... potato salad and Kraft mac and cheese, and it came with Texas Toast. I meant to get french fries, so my boyfriend got frenchfries and shared them with me, and I gave him my potato salad. The food was great. I expected to get a few more tenders but Ileft full. And then the Kraft mac and cheese was a classic, I got it because I can never get mine to taste like they make it ina restaurant. The french fries were nice and crispy.
