This was by far the best restraunt, food and service on our stay in maggie Valley this weekend. The crispy cajun Brussel sprouts... were a great stater. The rainbow trout and mixed vegetables were excellent. I also have to mention the sweet tomato glazedmeatloaf. All our food was awesome, service was equally as impressive. Read more

My wife and I picked this place out of a hat as a place for lunch and we were not disappointed. The Pot Raost was really tender... and full of flavor while my fried Catfish sandwich what cooked and seasoned well. Room for improvement would be to clean thecatfish fillets of the grey fat before you cook it. People that have read my reviews know this is one of the things that dingrestaurants out of a top rating. Properly cleaning catfish fillets is the difference between ok and great. This is a nice placeand the service was good. Read more

We went early on a Saturday (5pm) for dinner without reservations because they were full but would take walk-ins, it worked. Had... a table for two with a window view. Loved the French Soup, fried catfish sandwich and lemon grilled shrimp pasta. Friendly stafffrom beginning to the end. Read more

My wife and I had an exceptional meal here for our 18th wedding anniversary. The service, atmosphere, food presentation, food... quality and food taste were beyond 5 stars. There will be a wait to get in so either come early or make reservations. The priceswere a solid value as well. Great restaurant in a great little town! Read more

Yet again, a phenomenal experience at the Sweet Onion! We missed the opportunity to reserve a table, but it was suggested we... call back to add our name to the wait list. We did and were called in at exactly the promised time. We ordered the grouperspecial and the open faced pot roast sandwich, both different than what we usually get but still so good. So much love goes intothis food!! I never go without getting the blackberry creme brulee and it never disappoints- save room for it! After living inand eating at all the best places in Charleston, this is still my all time favorite dessert. Read more
