Ordered tortilla soup. It was not the same presentation. It was previously beautifully presented in strips of various soup items... around the bowl and you added broth, tortillas, avocado and cheese. Today I received a bowl of rice and shredded chicken, cheese, diced avocado, tortilla strips and a pot of broth. I even questioned the waiter that this can't be tortilla soup but wasassured it was. So no veggies, cilantro, tomatoes, just chicken and rice and broth? Disappointed. Husband ordered a veggiequesadilla but said the veggies were soggy. Sorry. Have loved eating here in the past. Recent trip was cut short for lack of service. I get it, we are all short staffed. We were seated, walked by, not acknowledged... after the host left, 2 tables were seated, chips brought, drinks ordered and we were still not seen. Yes, I could have raised myhand, gotten some attention, talked to a manager or something.... But was I not seated by the person who let's the team knowsomeone is there? Nothing on our table should indicate we had not been helped. We chose to leave. We will return, we likethey're food. Just sharing this experience. Read more

I came in on my lunch break ...which is an hour.. I set at the bar and the service was fast! Michelle was my server in the bar... and she was awesome. She had knowledge of the menu and was very friendly. She kept my chips and my drink full!! I highlyrecommend her and El finix. Read more

I'm beginning to really like El Fenix as my second Tex-Mex restaurant chain after On the Border. El Fenix is always consistent... in quality and flavor and I've never had a bad meal there. The food at El Phoenix always seems to be focused on more traditionalTex-Mex like enchiladas burritos etc. If you're not by an On the border or you want a more traditional Tex-Mex offering I highlyrecommend El Fenix in general and this restaurant in particular. Not sure but I think all El Fenix menus are slightly differentor seasonal but the menu for El Fenix on camp Bowie seems more extensive with more options. That being said the menu at thislocation mostly focuses on enchiladas. If you like enchiladas you'll be happy with the variety and selection if you don't you'regoing to have to look hard at the mini to find something that might appeal to you. Not saying it's not there but it's not a lotof choices. Read more

Service was a bit slow being that we saw plenty of servers. The chicken tenders my son had were burnt around the edges. The rest... was tasty for sure. Read more
