We went to Hedges for our 11th anniversary. The food was fantastic and the service was good. One issue we had is that they lost... our reservation. But we still got seated quickly even though it was busy. The other issue is that I found meat in my vegetablerisotto. Which is not great since I am vegetarian. But it did taste good otherwise. They have an outdoor lounge area which isnice. It would be great if they offered up outdoor seating for dinner. But we were not given that option. Read more
First off, great setting , on the lake, beautiful sunset. The staff were friendly, the meals were good. The Filet Mignon was... tender and cooked just right. Haven't been there in a couple years, I'm doing work at the hedges housing development right next door, but the food was always... top notch and the staff was great, nice atmosphere inside as well as outside since you're right on lake Ontario! We went to Hedges to celebrate our ten year anniversary. The experience was top notch from beginning to end. We had a wonderful... conversation with Caroline, the hostess. Jackie, our server, was a dreamboat. She was friendly, professional, veryknowledgeable about the menu, and had a great sense of humor. The food was outstanding. The small army of attendants in thedining room were quick, friendly and on top of all the needs of the tables. We will definitely be back for another specialoccasion. Oh! This is the kind of place we need to visit for ambiance and peace rather than food. It is located on the shore, and one can get... a beautiful view of sunset. There are many chairs available outdoor. Everything about our dining experience was 5 stars. Our server, Dawn, was the best. We enjoyed a couple of their house specialty... cocktails before dinner. The Tuscan Seafood Pasta was abundant with assorted seafoods and enough for two meals, the best! Thestuffed flounder special with arugula was just as good. What a wonderful pairing. For dessert we shared the pecan bread puddingwith bourbon butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream. It was so good and we had plenty to take home to enjoy later.
