Fantastic meal for two! Our service was phenomenal and consistent with the “Pappa’s Way” we truly enjoyed the crab with... Brie dip, fresh HUGE oysters and cocktails and we shared the rainbow trout! Beautiful place to sit down and eat some fresh seafood. Peeled iced shrimp is a highly recommended appetizer, can still taste... the gulf on the shrimp. Etoufee was a great dish to slowly enjoy. Read more
Great day at Pappas’ near Bay Area boulevard in Houston. Mahi mahi was delicious as well as the fried shrimp, Cajun chicken... and green salad. Had a new waitress under training who did a pretty good job too! Read more
We enjoyed our business lunch starting with the crawfish and shrimp fondue appetizers which was hot and fresh & the taste was... delicious, with a side of garlic bread that just took everything up to the next level, for the main course I had the grilled redsnapper with pontchartrain sauce and creamed spinach & it was prepared to perfection with a beautiful presentation and withflavors that wonderfully rich and equally delicious. Experience at this location was great. Right from the seating staff, server and the chef. It was a weekday and we had reached... the restaurant closer to the closing time. The server who waited on us was just a week into this job - but did his best to takecare off us. Correctly communicated our food request to the kitchen and the chef did an excellent job of serving just asrequested. The ambience was nice. Place was clean. Tables set at social distance, booths had a transparent partition. Serverswore mask. Food was great. They had already closed the restaurant and we were the last ones to leave the place and they didserve my sweet tooth friend ice cream. Overall it was a nice relaxing evening at this place. Read more
Honestly, I think this place is mediocre and overpriced. We walk into the restaurant. We're greeted by the host/hostess. The... lead us to where we are going to be seated. I believe there is utensils at the table or the waiter/waitress gives them to you.My wife ordered a mix drink from the menu which is way to expensive. $15 for a single cup. The starter bread is then given to usby the waiter/waitress. It is wrapped in a white cloth. I thought it was ridiculous that it is presented to us like that.(Laughable) I even joked about it a few times to the waiter/waitress. The bread was tough to cut into as if it was stale. Thefried calamari & fried zucchini is really good! The sauces were a complement with the appetizer. There are 2 sizes.(Medium/Large) The one we ordered is medium. I ordered the Mississippi fish & shrimp entofee. ($23) My dish was reasonably gooddespite it being a little over seasoned. Plenty of food to. My wife's dish was disappointing to say the least. You pay upwardsto $30 plus just to get a bit of salmon and 4 to 5 jumbo shrimp with Spinach. I felt bad that she had to watch me eat becausethe serving size on her plate was so minimal. For a $104 tab, I rather stay home, BBQ, and drink a beer. Spend way less moneyand get more bang for your buck. I won't be going back any time soon. Not because of poor service or bad food.
