Friendly and awesome location (warm and inviting). I have been here three times. First time I had the Spicy Chicken. Sandwich... and fries were good, but not great. Everything was cooked and assembled well, but I would not try again. Second time I had theChicken and Waffles. Chicken tenders were a good large size and I liked how it did not feel like a big heavy meal. Same as firsttime, everything was fine, but nothing special. I won't have this item again. Third time I just had the Chicken Tenders withranch, bbq sauce, and Honey Mustard. All the sauces were had good strong flavors and tenders were good tenders. I will be havingthis item again. This is an amazingly tasty fried chicken location on Bay Area, very conveniently located just a bit off of I45. I had the... Chicken and Waffles, mild, with a sauce that I can't quite remember, but was pleasantly seasoned. The chicken tenders areexceptionally well battered and juicy, while the waffles were succulent and had a consistently almost of pancakes. The mac andcheese was extremely cheesy and I would definitely recommend it as a side - though I hear great things about the spicy fries aswell. The chicken sandwich was delightful with the refreshing slaw, though I think I prefer the tenders from the chicken andwaffles. I was also confirm on a later visit that the spicy dragon fries are quite good, though similarly, the Mac and cheesecatches my fancy somewhat more. Read more
This place was fun bright wide open and fresh new design. Staff was super friendly and eager to explain who they were and what... the concept was all about. Very clean and easy access for all. The food came out quickly looked great and the taste was onpoint. I would highly recommend the salads and definitely ask for the champagne vinaigrette made the salad pop!! I?m not a fanof fried foods but the chicken strips in the mild we?re Not overly hard and not greasy. The dessert was cool and for those whohave a sweet tooth well let?s just say it will totally satisfy. Very friendly service at the counter and in the dining room, 1st time in and will be in again. Tried the 3 tender option mild... and subtle enough heat for me to try to the next level up on the next visit. Counter ordering with food brought to your table. Staff very attentive. This place was really good. I was skeptical because I'm not a huge fan of chicken strips, nor am I a fan of places that... specialize in one thing. I like variety in my life, but they do chicken strips with a few other items, and they do it well.These were probably the best chicken strips I've had so far. I got the medium heat level which added nice flavor without beingoverwhelming. The cinnamon butter that accompanied the waffles was excellent, as were the sauces that we tried. The ribs wereok. They had good flavor, but being from a place where you can get solid barbecue, they don't quite stack up. They are decentfor chain restaurant ribs though. Oh, and the staff was so nice and helpful. A lot of places say they have hot chicken, and they do not. Cookshack made me sign a waiver for the AMF level. I tell you, it?s... hot. I love hot, and it?s hot. I recommend it 100%. They also have great service and brought out milk and ice cream when Isubsequently sat crying and eating. For normal hot and more enjoyable, Texas hot, the next step down, is also very good. I?m not sure I can say I wanted to try this based on the name but wow! It was such a great experience! Ms Matty helped to break... down the menu and make suggestions. The chicken was crispy and juicy and the Mac and cheese was phenomenal with smoked Gouda. Wealso got an order of dragon fries. They were a slow burn, sweet at first but a delightful kick after a second. Our order wasprompt and everyone who worked there was a pleasure to speak with. They offered us sample of the butterscotch ice cream sandwichwhich was also wonderful! I highly suggest this location! Read more
