My boyfriend and I had the honor of dining in Matteos a few times. Not only is the food phenomenal, but the service was... incredible. The owner, Matteo, is very customer focused, and does his very best to make sure everyone is happy. The restaurantis pretty small, but the atmosphere is very uplifting. All staff are very welcoming, polite and attentive. They have an amazingwood oven, and the pizza comes out perfect every time!! The food is super fresh and always delicious and wellportioned. Definitely one of a kind restaurant. They really put the fine, in fine dining! Would rate more than 5 stars if Icould, it is the highest quality gourmet cuisine I have ever had. Matteo, takes pride in his beautiful, fresh ingredients that he uses in all of the dishes. Everything is made fresh and fromscratch. Great portions and very reasonable prices. We went on a Friday night and we had reservations for 5:30. The restaurant itself is very small so you might want to call ahead... for reservations. We ordered the prosciutto and arugula pizza along with the scallop , shrimp and mussel pasta. Unfortunately Iwasn't a huge fan of the pizza, the pasta was nice and spicy but then again I just found it okay. The mussels and scallops weredelicious I just wish the sauce had been different. Our waitress was super friendly, but unfortunately we did have to wait awhile for our drinks and then also quite a while for our food. We were given for small pieces of bread and a tiny bowl ofbalsamic vinegar with olive oil with chickpeas and some veg all mixed in , it was tasty but very strong on the vinegar side. Iwould really like to go back to matteos and give them another try in the food department because I did see some meals thatlooked really good. Read more
