Oh this place! They make breakfast happen no matter what. All thru covid and now with staffing shortages the changes they made... have been remarkable ! The line was long as usual but they are so efficient it worked. We had to take out but this time we hadthe option of eating outside on the new gorgeous patio or in their dining room with no waitstaff. The breakfast bowls are such agreat idea and very large and delicious. The coffee choices are aplenty and aromatic! I haven't come here for a couple of years. Their donuts are the best I have ever had anywhere. You need to go early because they... run out of a lot of selections. They don't have full service at the restaurant any longer you can order something at the counterand eat it in the restaurant. It's too bad because we used to always go and eat breakfast in the restaurant. It looks like lackof help forced them to make this decision. They still have their food trucks after 4:00 p.m. on their lot. Read more
Stayed in Wells over the weekend and went for the first time. I got there right when they opened and there was a line 30 people... deep. I knew that was a good sign. The line moved fast, the employees were so nice. The doughnuts.....OMG. The best I've everhad. I will be back soon, will make a special trip on a Sunday morning from MA. My dog LOVED his treat too. We drove up from Boston this weekend just to try this place out. I haven?t had doughnuts this good since I was a kid. They... instantly brought me back to childhood memories of having doughnuts with my grandparents. The fritters are exactly as theyshould be (why do other places insist on using pie filling these days?), the chocolate crunch was delicious, and the Bavariancreme? Love, love, love! Coffee was fantastic, doughnuts were out of this world, and other breakfast items were all great (burrito,... sandwich, bowl). We were even hoping to stop on our way back today from Bar Harbor again (a little out of the way), butunfortunately it was closed. Obsessed and would absolutely come back. Read more
