On our annual trip to Maine, this is always our first dinner stop. Great fried seafood, really nice laid back "shack" sort of... atmosphere, very good beer selection, and good specials. The wait to get in can be tough, but it's worth the wait! Superfamily friendly too. My only gripe is this last year they didn't have steamers (mussels) anymore!! I'm hoping it's temporaryand they come back next year. Best bets - try out the shrimp taco....it's amazing!! Fried clams and scallops are also great. Read more

I always go into seafood restaurants expecting to be disappointed as an avid New England seafood consumer it has served me well.... This place is fantastic. Freshness is the main ingredient here. Whole clam and scallop plate had ENORMOUS clams/scallops and wassent out with a giant bottle of fresh tartar sauce. Also tried the haddock tacos which were also great. Little tiny spot withhuge flavor and great staff. We will be back Read more

Always delicious and a favorite we have to visit every year. Their portions are big and worth every penny...though this summer... (2002) their lobster roll was the cheapest I've seen. 26.99 and it was huge! Their menu is mostly fried seafood but it's lightand delicious and not at all greasy. Be prepared for a wait if you visit in the summer. I'm never disappointed eating here! Read more

Great experience. The calamari here is fried with banana peppers inside which was a delicious touch. The wait for dinner on a... Saturday night was about 30-40 min without a reservation - but it was totally fine because there was live outdoor music in asmall patio area, with a cool bar in an old green trolley car. The whiskey lemonade was a great (and strong!) drink to start offwith. The combo platters are great, I just was unclear all the fish would be fried (seems obvious now - but I was a novice).Great value and great fried clam strips, shrimp and scallops. Very cute lobsters hang all over the restaurant holding papertowel rolls for the inevitable delicious mess you?ll make while enjoying your meal! ?? Read more

Wow- from the start of the meal to the end was tasty and cooked well. The calamari was fresh and flavorful, a good portion and... the cocktail sauce they bring to the table is zesty and a good compliment to the marinara they serve with it. The blackenedhaddock sandwich special was a great choice, as well as the lobster tacos. The key lime pie was a little different from othersI?ve had by the way it was more custard like then firm like a cheesecake if you will, it was alright. Over all, sitting outside(even if it was a little chilly) was lovely, there was some live music that was wrapping up by the time our entrees came butwhile he played it was nice. The ability to add our names to the waitlist remotely was also a great feature. I would come back,as there are a few more items I?d to try. Read more
