One of the reason we travel to Wells every year. Troy runs an amazing pound. I have eaten lobster up and down the coast of... Maine. Wells is my all time favorite. Not sure if it's the lobsters or the amazing, family atmosphere they provide. Truly aMaine treasure. Love this place!!!! Typical lobster spot. Not fancy which we loved but it seemed like kids were running it. There were about 6 kids all around maybe... 14 or 15 taking orders and picking out the lobsters, it was odd not to see a grown up anywhere. We got the lobster dinner($18.99 a pound) which came out overcooked. Potato chips were sad and season less. Also got the haddock nuggets ($17.99), veryhot and fresh. Not very much flavor to them though. Overall I don't need to go there again, sorry kids. Read more
Absolutely without a doubt the best meal we had all week up in Maine! The seafood was incredibly fresh, I had a lobster roll... that was beyond filled, and with tail meat mainly too! The rest of our group had the crab cake, fish sandwich, fried shrimp,calamari and clam strips and every single one of them was fantastic... especially with the fried food, the breading was perfect,it had a nice little coating but you still tasted the fresh seafood! Oh and the best part is you sit at picnic tables overlooking the ocean... overall probably one of my favorite seafood restaurants I have ever been too! Read more
It was a cloudy cool day, June 1st 2022... We decided to head out in search of some tasty Fish & Chips... Well let me start by... saying that we found it... It's not that it's hard to find Fish & Chips around here... Just about every restaurant sells it...However, we were struck by the prices.. LOL.. Now we know that we are in a touristy area so we weren't expecting it to be dirtcheap... But 25$ plus each for Fish & Chips just seemed a bit high for lunch at most places... Just as we were ready to give upand drive to McDonald's.. LOL, we found the Walls Beach Lobster Pound... SO HAPPY we did... ?? $16 for the large Fish & Chips..(ya, we can eat.. lol) and it was fresh .. tasty... Delicious in fact... We ate outside... Listening to the ocean crashing onthe shore... It was a perfect meal.. No fancies here.. but totally authentic.... Google it.. easy to find... Lots of parking...Beautiful views with great service and food... Read more

If you're looking to load up on lobster ???? look no further. The Wells Beach Lobster Pound is just too cool, don't expect fine... dining, rather look forward to a lobster experience. First pick your lobster/lobster size and see your fresh shellfish pickedout from their live pools! We went with the three pounders and they were huge! Then they will cook up and prepare your wholelobster. While you wait get a beer, some fried clams, steamers, or some of their riotous clam chowder. Finally you'll get to diginto the whole lobster, cooked to perfection. It may be a bit messy but nothing is fresher, also three pounds of lobster ????goes a long way! Sure anyone can cook lobster, but they cook it right with the best prep I?ve seen in a while. My son and I shared a twin... lobster. They pre-cut it just right. Clam Chowder had great flavor with the right amount of clams. The crab cake sandwich wascrispy on the outside with great amount of crab chunks. They had plenty of seating outdoors and indoors. I recommend evenusing the take out and bringing back to the beach. Service was quick and very friendly. Read more
