This has been my go-to restaurant for my birthday dinner for YEARS. My parents have been going here for regular date-night for... the past 30+ years. Dad hates to go anywhere else. The food is very good, reasonably priced; Geoff at the bar pours a littleheavy, if you'd like that.... that's to say, drinks are made to order; I am happy with the wide range of prices and selections.If you're in Wellsboro for a few days, make certain you include at least one dinner at the Steak House. They have a true Bartender here first off. If you enjoy a good "worldly" whiskey & drink selection look no further. The lamb and... the steak entrees are fantastic. I can recommend charcuterie appetizer highly. First class. Read more
Got seated right away, it was 5:09 pm when we placed our order, took a long time just to get the salads and bread. Then we had... to ask another waitress for a refill. About an hour and 10 minutes went by, and had to ask a different waitress if our mealswere coming out. People who were seated after us were all getting their food quickly. Our original waitress never came to ask ifwe needed refills, and never apologized for the lengthy wait.Service was awful, food (a steak and a veggie burger) were fine.Will not ever come back! Had the King Filet and my husband had Prime rib last night. So amazing! Both steaks were cooked perfectly and were melt in your... mouth. And I'm picky when it comes to steak!
