This has been my go-to restaurant for my birthday dinner for YEARS. My parents have been going here for regular date-night for... the past 30+ years. Dad hates to go anywhere else. The food is very good, reasonably priced; Geoff at the bar pours a littleheavy, if you'd like that.... that's to say, drinks are made to order; I am happy with the wide range of prices and selections.If you're in Wellsboro for a few days, make certain you include at least one dinner at the Steak House. They have a true Bartender here first off. If you enjoy a good "worldly" whiskey & drink selection look no further. The lamb and... the steak entrees are fantastic. I can recommend charcuterie appetizer highly. First class. Read more
Got seated right away, it was 5:09 pm when we placed our order, took a long time just to get the salads and bread. Then we had... to ask another waitress for a refill. About an hour and 10 minutes went by, and had to ask a different waitress if our mealswere coming out. People who were seated after us were all getting their food quickly. Our original waitress never came to ask ifwe needed refills, and never apologized for the lengthy wait.Service was awful, food (a steak and a veggie burger) were fine.Will not ever come back! Had the King Filet and my husband had Prime rib last night. So amazing! Both steaks were cooked perfectly and were melt in your... mouth. And I'm picky when it comes to steak! Everything we had was delicious from soup to nuts, the staff was super friendly and we loved our server "Mindy" she treated us... like royalty ( it was my daughter's and my birthday ) absolutely recommend this establishment! Then maybe cross the street foran after dinner movie at the 100 year old "Arcadia Theater" with some candy from Highland Chocolates all on Main St. in thisbeautiful rustic Pa mountain town! ???????????????? What a great experience we had at The Steak House! I called ahead of time to see if they had anything gluten-free on the menu.... While nothing is marked gluten-free, they were well aware of gluten-free items and would assist us when ordering and theyrecommended reservations, which we made. Our waitress was fantastic in relaying to the kitchen that they were dealing withceliac disease. Everything ordered was fantastic and they couldn?t have been more helpful! Thank you!!! Read more
We had a large group that needed a place to eat when passing through on our motorcycles. Everyone's food was good. We had Tina... W. for our waitress. She was FABULOUS! She got every single order right, brought all the food at the same time, knew whoordered what, and everyone's food was hot. She managed separate checks with no errors.
