I liken the pizza to an undercooked french bread that has a soggy crust with cheese & pepperoni that feels like it was thrown on... top *after* baking. If you take the pizza home and cook it at 375-400F in a toaster oven for 6-10 minutes the crust becomesfirm and crunchy, the pepperoni crisps a little, and the cheese melts properly. Do this if you want to upgrade to a 3-starexperience but familial nostalgia is forcing you to order from here. If you want an actually good pizza, you are probablybetter off ordering from somewhere else BEFORE you visit Wellsburg. Read more

I've always loved their pizza, but it's even better if you heat it up in your air fryer for a few minutes. After i buy DiCarlos... pizza (which i always order with mushrooms in addition to the standard pepperoni), the first thing i do upon walking into myhouse is i place several pieces of the pizza into my air fryer basket and i run it at 400F degrees for 3 or 4 minutes. DiCarlospizza always gets soggy inside the cardboard box during transit. This happens every time. There are no exceptions. Most peopledon't care because it tastes so good anyhow. They just happily eat it in it's usual soggy condition. But taking a few minutes tomake it extra hot and even crispy really does elevate it to another level. I just do this with a regular basket;-style airfryer, so i can never fit more than 4 or 5 pieces in the bottom of the basket at one time. I imagine a big air fryer oven, toaster oven or regular oven would do fine for elevating DiCarlos, too. This also works great for leftover pizza that was coldinduce the refrigerator. The air fryer makes your cold pizza come out perfect. Read more

The worst dicarlos by far maybe worst pizza shop ever. I?ve tasted better frozen pizza then this slop. First there is no order... they serve who they want when they want. If they don?t know you you have to wait til all their friends are served first. Saucewas lousy not enough cheese and we ordered extra cheese. Rude employees if they do t know you. Don?t waste your time or yourhard earned money here. This place is a dingy dirty smelly hole. This is the wellsburg dicarlos. Avoid at all cost Read more

Been going to this DiCarlo's for over 40 years. I no longer get live in the area, but every time that I am close I stop in and... stock up. Today I drove in from Cleveland to pick up 100 pieces to take back to Lawrenceburg, IN. It was a 200 mile detour butit is always worth it. Tim and his guys maintain the same high standards that I saw 40 years ago. Still waiting for Tim to bringme some when he visits his relatives in Cincinnati. Ate a whole box on the drive home. Have heard nothing but awesome things about this place from people who live around here. Finally got the chance to check it... out..ordered 45 minutes before closing. Two large pizzas (28 slices). And it was unanimous...it was the worst pizza we have everhad!! Watched them take it out of the over and then delivered 7 minutes down the road and pizza was cold!! Both pizzas we'rebland and with hardly any sauce, very dry. Ordered extra pepperoni, and got two pieces of pepperoni on each slice. The bananapeppers were good on the? second pizza, however, this is the only thing we could say for it. To add salt to the wound the totalfor these two pizzas was $100!! I guess you never know until you try...now we know. What a disappointment.. Read more
