Had my father's funeral repast here and it was beautiful.
This is a local course, with some interesting features. So, my wife and I try to get to it during the season. For the past few... years we keep saying we?re not going back. From the general poor attitude of the people, who seem to only want to deal withregulars? to the poor maintenance of the course? it is hard to say this one is worth the effort, anymore. The tee boxes are sopoorly maintained, that they are either mud boxes, or the grass is as thick as teeing up in the rough? or a weird combination ofboth. Willow Hollow, Foxchase, Golden Oaks, The Manor, and other courses are nearby, and much better options for a better golfexperience. Read more
It's winter, but the greens remain an interesting challenge. Management has spent money on replacing the wooden bridges, a nice... upgrade. While most of the cart paths need work, that issue does not take away from the fairways remaining in good shape. Thiscourse is still worthy of playing a round. Read more
I absolutely love this course, you want challenging greens that break up hill then this course will get you every time. ????
After reading some of the recent reviews I considered not playing this course but I?m glad I did! If you have given up on Galen... Hall I suggest you reconsider as the course was in great shape with the fairways lush and the greens challenging and in goodshape! With the exception of two tee boxes that were not in good condition the rest of the tee boxes were in great condition.The views and vistas surrounding the course are gorgeous!! Perhaps some of the bad reviews were due to the fact that this courseis challenging, it is long and the fairway lies are often an uphill or downhill lie, but the course is fair.And great news !!!!the pub has re-opened and the cheesesteaks were delicious and the beers served in a frosted glass were ice cold! The pro shopmanager and the bartender were so friendly and welcoming that I can?t wait to play here again! Read more
Galen Hall will always be a special place for me and while it's one of the more challenging courses in the area, it's always a... good value. Recently added fairway bunkers take away from the layout and need better maintenance. Overall the course needs sometlc. I hope to be able to play here for a long time ahead. Read more
I always enjoy going to Galen Hall. Extremely beautiful scenery and the price is one of the better deals in the area!
