Much improved, no longer open 365 days a year. A l a s. Old hotel dive bar which has recently been re gentrified to some extent,... the back dining room has good meals, the bar room is a bit different, not sure as to the status of the colorful characters wholive upstairs, have not spent enough time to do a full anthropological survey. Will get back to you on all of this but the PennWarner in is the place... In Wernersville. We came here for Christmas Eve dinner as we have in previous years and I don?t know what happened before but did it go downhill.... We waited till after our appetizers arrived which took about 45 minutes to arrive to order dinner and then had to wait an hourfor dinner to arrive. Once we got our dinner it was just so so and Luke warm. My husbands problem prime rib was fatty and notgood tasting. The coffee they served with dessert was I believe left from the morning. Lousy experience and my husbandsstomach is still rolling this morning. And for all this our bill was $138 dollars with the tip. The food might be great but don't rent any of the rooms or you'll be spending the whole night barking in the toilet. The rooms... are something that will make you sick to the stomach, filthy dirty ect... I hear that someone stayed there for a month payingrent every Friday got thrown out for some reason on a Monday never got reinburst or refunded, they simply ripped the person off.Now the person is struggling looking for a place to live the owner never gave a warning or any notice and should been able tostay til the next Friday since the week was already paid for. We had the prime rib. Medium rare and I think it was one of the best steaks I've ever had! The drinks came in frosted glasses... which was great especially for the beer. Awesome place great food. Courtney our waitress was the best - friendliest - courteous - patient!!! So sweet. Met the cook out... back great guy very proud of what he does. Highly recommend! especially if you're looking for some great old fashioned homemadecooking and dining. Read more
The food was very good and was pleased with the taste of all of their food, the only issue we had was some of the chicken being... under cooked during the wedding but they did a good job of replacing that chicken when brought to their attention. Overall washappy with our experience but was hard to contact them sometimes which made it a little tough when we had questions. Read more
