I am grateful to have found the Boocha Bar in Weslaco. My mother in law is vegan and my wife and I also eat mostly vegan as... well. We were able to meet the owners who were nice and welcoming! We sampled their brewed in house kombucha (try the grapefruitone!) and even some peanut butter cookies while we waited for our food. I had the chorizo pizza and potato soup and both wereexcellent. What a delight to find this restaurant! We are visiting the area and were just looking for a place to get lunch. We got the best... lunch and had a great time meeting the owners and hearing their story. They take care of their customers as thoughtfully as theyprepare their food. Never had vegan before, I was really surprised on how good their food was. Bought a few teas and their fermented drinks are... good. Very unique expirience for me an always a good alternative for a healthy meal and not the same old burgers and pizza forlunch. Staff and owner are super friendly and helpful. Will deff go back. I want to love this place so badly, but I must say, I cannot. The pizzas are decent but steer clear of the ?hoagie.? It is... essentially gooey, smelly paste stuffed between tasteless bread. This place has AMAZING food. I?ve been to several ?Vegan? places and quite honestly- I?m not a fan. But we met friends here... because they wanted to try it and I was shocked. The food was REALLY GOOD, full of rich flavors, great textures, and did nottaste ?Vegan? at all. Even the peanut butter/chocolate cake was moist and delicious. The whole experience at this restaurant was wonderful! Their house made kombucha is excellent and very refreshing. Their Vegan... pizzas are simply the best that I have ever had and their Vegan soup was so flavorful and comforting. I never knew about Kombucha until this place opened up! My boyfriend & I went to go check it out and were amazed at all the... great health benefits of Kombucha and how nice and welcoming the atmosphere is???????? Now we try to always have some Kombuchaaround!
