We were seated by the gent who greeted us. He was very professional. Then we sat there for 15 minutes without anyone... acknowledging us. We then left and went to a nice Mexican restaurant up the street where we were seated immediately. We werewaited on right away. And the food was very good. Two different worlds only a few blocks apart. Only rating the service atDooley's. Didn't get to try the food, so no comment there. Read more
Absolutely delicious! Super cozy, great friendly staff and the food was absolutely spot on delicious. Was shocked to see that... not only could we tip ther server but kitchen staff as well. Obviously they are not expecting a tip but working in the serviceindustry for almost 10 years it makes me happy to see that the option is on there. The Service: - Service from Laura was fantastic!! So helpful with navigating the menu. A+++ and a huge thanks to Laura for her... efforts. The Food: - The Bacon Brie burger was alright but unfortunately came through overcooked. - The chicken avocado wrapwas light and pleasant. - Mexican street corn appetizer was great albeit the chips a pinch stale - The roasted cauliflower appwas? uhhh?not for us. The Bill: I?ve always been a supporter of tipping servers a MINIMUM of 20%. They work hard for what theydo, their income depends on it, and their efforts are essential to the experience and very much appreciated. When my bill nowproposes that I also tip the kitchen I do start questioning whether dining out is reasonably affordable. I absolutelyappreciate them as well but also presume their employer is already providing them with a supportive compensation package and notlooking for their customers to subsidize any shortfalls. Where does the additional costs end? Cleaner?s tip? Accountant?stip? On one hand I genuinely admire the support for the kitchen staff but somewhere lies a fine line between advocating foryour team and milking the customer. Read more
We came as a group of 14. There were plenty of open tables inside, and we were ok with splitting into smaller groups, but the... manager insisted our only option was to sit outside. It was in the 50s, windy and cloudy. Manager also refused to do separatechecks, but told us we could do separate credit card payments. So we had to figure out a complicated bill ourselves while wewere sitting outside freezing. My daughter ordered a ?stacked? Caesar salad which was essentially a head of un-chopped romainelettuce with some toppings. Including bacon, which was not listed as an ingredient on the menu. My daughter is vegetarian. Our first visit to Dooley?s and we liked it. Food and service were excellent. Highly recommend it. We went on a Thursday... evening. Most diners were out in the patio but we chose to eat inside. No wait at all. We got an order of the cheese curds andtruffle fries. Both were nicely done. We also ordered the Cobb Salad, Mac and Cheese with Andouille Sausage, Kimberly Burger andCaribbean Jerk Salmon. Every dish was nicely portioned with great flavor. The Burger and salmon were cooked perfectly. Totalwith dinner and drinks was very reasonable. Well done. It?s nice to have another great dining option in West Bend. Read more
AMAZING brie burger w sweet potato fries. I had a bloody and an Ale. This was during mom's fest, it was Very busy I ate at the... bar there were no tables. There was only one bartender, she rocked it out, keeping positive, answering questions, keeping up wdrinks, I'd hire her!! BRAVO! Read more
