Me and my 13 year old son, visited this restaurant on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022, about 2 p.m. for lunch, the weather was... excellent that day, 78 degrees, so we thought we'd try out this great ice cream shoppe and restaurant. When we arrived, therewas a beautiful outdoor dining patio with light's, where people were enjoying their lunch. Upon entering the restaurant inside,there were families enjoying their lunch inside the restaurant, where there is plenty of seating. Some people were ordering andsitting at comfortable booths, and some people were ordering their lunch on their work lunch break, who came in and picked uptheir lunch. Everyone was kind and respectful. What a wonderful little place, If I could have given this restaurant a 10 or 20stars, I would have, because, for me, it definitely had a beautiful wow affect !!!! :) This was a cheery, brightly, decorated insuper cute decor, I loved the colors of aqua and yellow, that made me feel happy, something reminded me of my youth, which was agood and happy time. As you enter the inside dining area, you go past a very nice outdoor dining area, like a beautiful patiowith light's. Once inside the restaurant, there you will find nice booths, tables and comfortable chairs, with lighted lanternson the ceiling and the ceiling itself has a tin ceiling, that was super neat. It was a whimsical, old fashioned but modern dayflair, it was simply gorgeous !!!! :) There are also canvas art of food throughout the restaurant, which also reminded me of theolder days, but again with a modern day flair. This is an excellent restaurant, very friendly, helpful, and great customerservice. One lady that I believe was the manager, helped us with choosing the ice cream scoop size and matching 2 differentflavors together. There was a very nice young man who helped us with our order of 2 ice cream cones, asking us if the ice creamamount was perfect for us, and it was. Great subs and I love the ice cream! The restaurant was clean and tables were washed after each use. Staff is always... friendly. They have some great art work displayed from the kids at Decorah Elementary school. Stop by and check them out. Great food, ice cream and a friendly staff! Read more
Their hot chocolate is scalding water with powder, so don't come here if you're looking for a good hot chocolate. Three... teenagers behind the counter were more preoccupied with talking to each other and their friends who came to visit than attendingto a line of customers. Ice cream was nothing memorable. Everyone was very polite and super nice. They were very good at sanitation and had selective separated seating inside which was... good and outside seating as well. The warm sub sandwiches were delicious, I was so happy since they had chipotle mayo too. Theywere also super awesome in letting me get a small side (miscellaneous charge) of mac&cheese for my toddler. Their featuredpumkin ice cream???????? yum! ???? super creamy and you can get as much or as little as you would like, they'll weigh it upright in front of you. ????
