I love classic diners and this place did not disappoint. The pancakes were super fluffy, the coffee was hot and delicious that... they get from a local coffee shop, and the prices were very reasonable. Make sure you check their special board or ask yourserver for a recommendation. They were all super friendly and helpful. The best thing is that I live so close! Definitelywill be back soon before they close for the season. Read more

On our way to the Green Mountains Forest, we dropped by this place for a quick breakfast. They seemed to be quite popular among... the locals, but we were able to grab a table at the old railroad car section without a wait. Our server was very friendly, andwhen we asked for something else besides the rye bread for our sides, she made some great accommodations for us. Among the menuswe ordered, we really enjoyed the cajun skillet breakfast and the vermonter omelette. Char-grilled steak was the only thing thatwe found to be mediocre. Overall, it was definitely worth the few mile detour we took, and if you?re looking for a good localdiner in the area, this is undoubtedly the one to go to. Read more

Situated in West Brattleboro in a really cute antique rail car, I wasn't sure what to expect. Would this be a classic Jersey... greasy spoon or home made restaurant? Color me surprised when it turned out to be a perfect mix of the two - all the good, noneof the bad! My husband ordered the homemade corned beef eggs Benedict and I ordered the steak and eggs. The homemade cornedbeef was delicious and the eggs were cooked to perfection. But my steak and eggs caught me by surprise! Breakfast steak isnotoriously hard to perfect - usually a thinner slice with lighter seasoning and it takes a soft hand to not over cook it. Thechef nailed it. It was perfect. Medium rare, juicy, perfectly seasoned. Don't sleep on the home made biscuits either! Veryyummy! Portions were perfect, the atmosphere was quaint and everything was better than expected. I'll be back! Read more

Seems like a popular place... Three people with tip, bill for breakfast $82.20! Best part was the home made jam! And my... breakfast company. Corned beef hash, 2 poached with raisin toast. I tasted green pepper and mushy potatoes. Read more

Not a bad place for an easy, quick meal for breakfast or lunch. I've never been for dinner. It's not as good as it used to be,... however. (I'm talking like 5 years ago it was so much better. ) The waitress was the only one who made the experience worthit. The food wasn't bad, but could've been better and the prices lower for the smaller servings they had. The inside used tofeel cozy and friendly. Instead it felt dirty and lacked any real luster. Not a bad place to go if you're not looking foranything special, or you want to dine outside as it's got a very nice spot for that. But wouldn't recommend with small kids oron a first date... ;) Read more

There might have been a 20 minute wait to get in. But once sitting, we were waited on timely, she was super nice, and the food... didn't take long to get to us. We all loved what we got and for 3 people it wasn't very much either. Always has been my number 1recommendation for breakfast, always will be! Read more

Not a bad place to stop crossing your way through the green mountains of Vermont. Two weary travelers pulled off the road to get... some food and rest and were amply rewarded. The grilled cheese with tomato and the cheeseburger were pretty good. Service with asmile and clean restrooms. A nice setting outback with picnic tables overlooking a nice meadow. Price is very reasonable andfood a little above average. #stevensleavin Read more

Delicious ice cream and maple creemees. I ordered the cookie Sunday and substituted the home made maple walnut ice cream and it... was superb. Nice folks behind the counter who seemed super enthusiastic about working at an ice cream shop (I would be too).Next to the ice cream stand is a to-go food truck. If you?re hungry and looking for sweets, you?ve stopped at the right place! Read more
