Where do I start? Cashier taking my order was not friendly. Saw the kitchen I'm the background and there's was too many people... for only a hand full of customers. Putting that aside, I came in for the food so let's talk about it. Ordered a Little Buddy (1patty burger) w/cheese & fries. When they called out my name, said thank you to the man that placed my burger on the counter(almost felt like he threw it), and there was no "sure" or "of course", nothing. I think local restaurants should be the onescrushing it with customer service since they are a "starting" business. Not the case with this one at least. Now, burger &fries. Looked very promising. Burger was ok, felt like they only put a $0.10 of cheese in my burger, only tasted it on 2 bites.Fries were not bad, although very soggy and looked like the oil they were fried in was kind of old now, that or the potatoesthemselves...left some fries at the end, when I never do. Ordered a cajun chicken cheesesteak and was given a regular cheesesteak that was one of the worst cheesesteaks I have ever... eaten. The cheese was cold and placed in a big blob on the bottom so when biting into it you get a disgusting, cold bite of justcheese. On top of that, the cheesesteak was insanely dry. Very dissapointing. Buddy's Burgers is a fast casual restaurant that specializes in made-to-order burgers with fresh toppings. I chose Buddy's... Burgers as part of a personal burger sampling tour I dubbed, "Operation: Meats Sweats!" and this place ranked 4th out of 5burger joints. I felt the meat to cheese to bun ratio wasn't quite there and the bun needed some help. However, the individualingredients were par for the course. The charred crust on the burger kept the juiciness in the middle where it belonged, thetoppings had a refreshing crunch and seeing the cheese melt evenly over the glistening charred patty made up for the lacklusterroll. The wings were meaty and had excellent flavor! All in all, if you're looking for a great hangover burger at areasonable price, Buddy's is your place! Read more
Honestly it sucks giving a business less than a five star review. I really enjoy the Buddy's Burgers locations in Kennett and... Newark. We spent around $43 and waited 25-30 mins for three mediocre burgers and a 5" cheesesteak. We were charged for a regularburger when we said kid's burger with a child standing right in front of the register. When I inquired about missing fries (Ihad thought they came with the burgers like they do at the other locations), an employee made an unnecessarily large deal abouthow we didn't pay for them and we won't be receiving free fries. Not a huge deal and nothing worth arguing about, I had onlyasked. Other than that, it was dirty in the restaurant and the garbages were overflowing. It is a very busy location and acollege town, so of course it can all be chalked up to that. Overall we were pretty disappointed and probably won't bereturning. Read more
