Went here with my husband last Saturday night and we were extremely disappointed with the food we ordered. He ordered sweet... short ribs and it was not sweet at all. It was beyond bitter and overpowering sesame oil. The waiter took the plate back andmade him a new plate and claimed that it will be ?better?. Well Um it was a little better but still bitter.. but in the brightside, The manager was nice enough to take it off the receipt. My husband took few bites of it, boxed it up and to be honest? hetossed it out as soon we head out the door.. we might come back and give them another chance, maybe come back for sushi.. idon?t know.. we?ll see. This place is absolutely amazing! The California rolls are delicious, and so is the other food. I definitely recommend it.
Overall, I really enjoyed this restaurant and the service. My sister and I are both vegan, which can make ordering difficult at... times. Unfortunately there is quite a lot of fish sauce in many of the dishes, but our server (Michael) was incredibly helpful.He went above and beyond to make sure that all of our food was vegan and fish sauce free. My mom and I had a great lunch here. The lunch deals are great and come with enough food to take home some for dinner. The only... downside was that our miso soup came out lukewarm and not particularly hot- so just a suggestion to the staff to be moreattentive to that. I have been to all of the sushi restaurants in west chester and most of the surrounding sushi restaurants in the area. Kooma by... far is the worst sushi restaurant I have ever been to. I am giving the restaurant an extra star for our waiter who did his bestgiven the situation and the drinks. The restaurant itself must have been a club in its past life because the interior design isall club decor. The swanky music was distracting and almost an insult to Asian culture. I genuinely was confused on what theywere going for. This restaurant is a Morimoto wannabe in my opinion and they missed the mark completely. This is the spot fordrinks! Their drink selection is extensive and full of options. We ordered the yellowtail appetizer which was the highlight ofthe night. But we realized that our table had no soy sauce dishes let alone soy sauce. So when we asked our waiter he rushedover with the soy sauce. But then he struggled to find a soy sauce dish for us. HOW?!? I have never heard of a sushi restaurantthat ran out of soy sauce dishes. We ordered a couple rolls which weren?t memorable. I would never come back to thisrestaurant. Read more
This place is a pretty good location to have sushi in a nice crossover style. There is a big variety of roles in very different... styles, with a nice local flavor of things. Definitely worth to try the roles covered in tempura, it?s something you don?t geteverywhere. The service is friendly and takes good care. The offered soups are tasty, too. One of the best Asian place in this area hands down. Very nice ambience for dine in, they have few tables right outside as well.... One of my colleagues introduced this place and have been going there ever since. I have tried their kooma noodles, bento box forlunch specials and chicken stone pot. All are good and reasonably priced. Hihgly recommended Read more
