Fun place. Great for happy hour or to go for a work gathering. The food we had wasn't the best. It was buffet style for a... wedding. Italian beef, pasta salad, chicken (that seemed extra burnt). But it was fun and a great atmosphere to have some drinksand play bags after work. Would recommend staying outside the bar inside is cramped, but a typical neighborhood old bar type ofdeal. Read more
WOW!!! First time here and really impressed. Wings were very well cooked, crispy, and the Mango sauce was delicious! Southwest... egg rolls were perfect. Brisket and Ribs very tender and incredible flavor. Next visit I will have to try the Mac n CheeseBrisket dinner. Taking a doggy bag home for sure. Patio was lovely! Read more
We had our first wedding set up at Hawthorne?s Backyard and I cannot say enough about the whole experience. Lou and staff are... AMAZING! Fun, helpful, and ready to jump in to help at a moments notice. We had worked together like we had been setting upweddings there forever. The venue is a lot of fun and so much to do that we even stayed after set up to eat some amazing foodand relax with a cold one. I HIGHLY recommend HB for an event or just an evening out for good food and drink. Read more
This is a really fun place! We were here for a wedding reception in one of their big tents out back. Great service and great... food. Lots of fun stuff to do outside too--bags, trashcan beer pong, sand volleyball, etc. All of the servers were super niceand fun. There's a full restaurant and bar open to the public, and I definitely want to come back to check that out. Read more
First time here I was part of a private party, the setup, the atmosphere, bar scene, it was great very lively, service was good... my only complaint from browsing the menu and seeing food on people's tables who were enjoying dinner the food at the party wasnot the same caliber. low grade burgers and dogs compared to what their normal menu is I felt. That is fine if that's whatyou're advertising on the party packages. But for myself being in the restaurant business for 10 years I was a littledisappointed. My husband and I cannot say enough about how amazing Hawthorne?s Backyard is!!! We had our wedding reception here and everything... was better than we could have ever imagined. Our guests have continued to rave about everything from the amazing staff, the foodand drinks, the atmosphere? it was definitely a night that we will never forget. The owner was so accommodating and quick torespond to any questions throughout the process in the months leading up to our wedding. We definitely recommend this place toanyone who is looking for a fun, laid back atmosphere for their wedding. We plan to come back in the future just for a night outbecause we loved it there so much! It is a pretty cool place but unfortunately we stop by during the game and it was so loud that you didnt even heard the server.... After the game they lowered the volume so we were able to talk. Anyway good ribs and not to spicy chicken wings. Both soupswere delicious ???? Read more
