The course is in excellent condition. Greens are fast and true. Wonderful staff and amenities. A must play.
5 hour round of golf is insane. Not one ranger on the course after we hit the 7th hole.
ok the place is higher priced and cost more but not a bad place and nice area to play in. I will be going back again
The course has a different character every time I play there. The wind is always a factor as is the cup location on the green. I... don't know what course the guy was playing who complained about the greens etc. This course is meticulous, especially given theamount of play it gets. Wonderful golf course for the thinking golfer. Working my way around this course was challenging. Fair test for making a... selection of different shots. Greens could be smooth, but it is August and I'm sure it has seen many golfers over the season. Iwill be back many times . Read more
Beautiful course, very challenging. Every shot on every hole will test you but it's fair. Cant wait to play again
The staff in the club house restaurant were very friendly. I didn't know the guy but he was very approachable and he started a... conversation. The food was excellent, I had the pulled pork panini which was tasty as ah heck. The salad was also good. We satdown with a group of 8 and the food came out and as ordered. It was a perfect experience. I highly recommend for work lunchoutings in West Chicago. Read more
Man, I'm not sure I've ever felt more conflicted about a review for a golf course. Pros: The layout is fantastic. The course... plays wonderfully and is just a beautiful track. There's nothing else quite like it in the area (maybe Harborside is the closestcomparison?) Cons: If you're riding - the "restricted areas" are a bit ridiculous. There are times it forces you onto the cartpath 100-125 yards out from the green. 50 yards and in to protect the areas around the green I get...but 100 yards? You alsohear so much BEEEPing because people are having to reverse out of "restricted areas" unexpectedly (who thinks they'll berestricted in the middle of the fairway 100 yards from the green?). All that effectively does is slow the pace of play WAY toomuch - because you're turning a huge part of the course into "Cart Path Only". Which leads me to my other complaint - pace ofplay is so bad, especially on the back 9. All that said, I WANT to love this course. I really do. The layout is great (if youlove golf course architecture, this one is a gem), but the cart stuff is just so weird and it causes play to be a less enjoyableexperience as a result. Read more
