Don't understand why there isn't more 5 star reviews here! Food was amazingly delicious and they are very accommodating for... allergies (dairy in our case). This is seriously a hidden gem here in West Des Moines. If you want actual Mexican food (thatdoesn't taste and look like it was nuked) then get over here! Staff were all friendly and awesome! Didn't come for the food, but watching everyone around us get there's it looked and smelled amazing! Happy hour drinks are my... favorite and so are margaritas so I got 3! Just wow! Happened upon this place while visiting and were we ever glad. Fantastic house marg and a mezcal cocktail that was out... of this world. Amazing and unique salsa. We've been here a few times dining in and had a great experience both times. Tonight I ordered a 'family pack' for carry out. ... I understand carry outs are generally more of a pain. I ordered chicken ($2 extra/ea) for the kids quesadillas, and it came ina Styrofoam cup on the side. My wife's 3 shrimp tacos were falling apart. Literally had a couple full grape tomatoes in eachwith a few pieces of shrimp and a soggy corn taco. My fish taco in a corn tortilla was pretty good. Overall, I'm a littledisappointed for $40, but I understand they're a fairly new business and the complications of carry out with generally moistingredients. Fortunately, the staff has been nothing but absolutely friendly every experience, I'm sure they'll work the bugsout and we'll see them again in 6 months to delete this review. Read more
