This place is awesome. Management, servers, bartenders, greeters…..you name it! We had a reservation snafu 12 people. We... called and reserved and unfortunately there was a miscommunication. They were excellent in making it work. Mary was phenomenaland Ryan our server was a great guy. Super friendly and helpful. Communication was great and overall friendliness and attentionto make sure we had a great experience was over the top. I’ve Never experienced anything like that from what I can rememberI’ve never had a restaurant that went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience even though the reservationsnafu occurred. Will definitely be returning. Mind you we drove 30 minutes to come and we will come back for more!!!! Read more
I think we found our new go-to restaurant. Sorry the pictures suck, but after having the mushroom and Brie soup and corn... chowder, we pretty much devoured everything else before snapping a pic. The short ribs were excellent and the bao buns weretasty as well. The salted caramel gelato for dessert was honestly the best we’ve ever had. The setting is very nice and theservice was excellent. All that said, I cannot recommend this place because I want to be able to get a table next time we go????. Honestly though if you’re looking for a really delicious dinner in the NW burbs, you need to put Bleuroot on your list. Read more
Every time we have been here (four times) our food has come out over an hour after ordering, cold, and/or under seasoned. The... staff seemed kind of clueless, we were not given any napkins and had to ask several times before they said they were out ofnapkins and silverware. Weird things to run out of at a restaurant, I don’t blame the server, it’s definitely a managementissue. We attended a dinner event upstairs at Bleuroot and the food was amazing! The service was great and the drinks we very well... prepared. We've been wanting to check this place out and it did not disappoint! I recommend the smoke infused old fashioned. Read more

The restaurant was in a beautiful location right by the river. As for the food, I ordered the Short rib poutine and the Sriracha... bourbon pulled pork steamed bao buns with Mac and cheese. The poutine was really delicious with a lot of cheese and meat. Thepork buns were okay. The bun was nice, but the meat was a little on the dry side.
