I don?t care for writing reviews but felt the need to after last night?s terrible experience. I would like to say that I had... dinner there last night but I didn?t. I did eat there for lunch two years ago on July 4th. The 3 hostesses follow some protocolwhere they have to call people on a waiting list for tables and have reservations. Except here?s the thing, there were emptytables everywhere on a Saturday night at prime time for dinner. I watched a table next to the hostesses be empty for 45 minutes.I watched other tables be empty for a while. The line for the restaurant kept growing. If there are empty tables everywhere (mymom counted 10 tables at one point), that means the kitchen can?t keep up and they were told to slow down seating people. Thebartenders ignored us for 10 mins at bar but other people pushed through?but we were sitting at the bar. One bartender said Iwill be right with you but served other people who came after us that were pushy. The drink I eventually got was a mojito andit was watery with no taste. I threw it out. Side note: Bartenders needed another bartender to help them because they couldn?tkeep up. We were told at 6:50pm the wait would be 2 hours for 4 people + a baby. My husband said he didn?t want to waste hismoney there so we left a little after 8 seeing empty tables (for a while). We got the text at 8:15 our table was ready?1 hourand 20 minute wait when we or others could have had dinner and left by then at those empty tables! I gave two stars based onthe ambience, decor, and the fact that the bar staff was short staffed from my eyes and that the hostesses were following somerule that most likely came from their manager>>>yeah it?s not working. We visited for lunch on Father's Day. Giving it 3 stars because the experience was mostly disappointing. I'll give them a pass... on the service because it was a day that people should be home celebrating and so they were short staffed. But the food qualitywas sorely lacking. I would not recommend the lobster roll. The bun was dry and almost stale and there was barely any lobster init. It was more like a thick bun with a side of lobster claw, but that's basically what I was anticipating when I ordered it.What left a bad taste is that they charged full price for two virgin drinks that my kids wanted. I'm not expecting to be chargedthe price of a soda, but there was no liquor in these drinks. How do they get off charging full price for blended pina coladamix? Let's be real. I think the town needs to consider a new vendor to operate the restaurants. Read more
Drinks are good, lobster roll was not so much. $32 for a lobster roll described to be a lobster roll with a tarragon mayo. It... was lobster salad with an unnecessary amount of celery in it. There weren?t even any chunks of lobster in it. Read more
We arrived mid week in the afternoon and it was pretty empty (not even a quarter of the tables were full) but it was a 25 mins... wait because the kitchen was backed up somehow? There were more servers than full tables but that was unmanagable so we couldn?torder food and decided to sit at the bar to not wait. Bartender said he could make a mojito but used salt instead of sugar, itwas undrinkable so he gave us packs of sugar to make it better and still charged us double when we asked for something else. Wewanted to sit closer to the beach where they had 10 tables empty, they warner us that they would need to move us if someone cameand within the hour we were there nobody else came? The environment is very nice but they need to be more organized andprofessional if they?re charging $15 for a cocktail in a plastic cup. Read more

If I can give it zero stars I would. I never write bad reviews. But people need to be warned before going here. Don?t waste your... time! You?ll be very disappointed, as I was. The customer service is horrendous, incompetent staff, unfriendly, you?ll bewaiting for a good 30 mins before you?re even acknowledged and then another 30 for your drink to be made (mind you they were notbusy), over priced, bad quality food and drinks. It?s a shame because the beach and view is beautiful. If you want betterservice, drinks, food and beach view go Salt Shack. Get it together Surf Shack! Read more
