Great atmosphere. Wonderful Sunday Brunch menu and table. Our group was five. The eggs Benedict were divine (both regular and... with crab). The service was slow. Patience is well rewarded though. One of my favorite wedding venues to work at in Greater Hartford, Pond House Cafe is truly a gem. It's beautiful, the food is... great, the staff know what they're doing, and it's centrally located. We were married at the Pond House this month and it was truly magical. My coordinator, Beth, and her team went above and beyond... to make our dreams come to life! She was so patient and quick to respond to any and all inquiries I had. The decorations, foodand drink at the Pond House were all outstanding; all my guests raved about the venue and what an amazing night it was! Thewaitstaff were so accommodating and fun as well! Disappointing, from the coffee to dessert, Coffee weak no taste, Flatbread was hard, dried out and barely chewable. Had to... return items-French Toast arrived burnt. Hash browns were cubed frozen potato's - then fried. Bacon items over cooked and notchewable. Poached pear dessert - was definitely not poached or flavorful. Chocolate mousse tasted like a weak watery pudding atbest. Omelets tasted like an egg substitute. Too bad beautiful location, nice presentation and cute decorations for theholidays. Read more
