Tea break is the original bubble tea place in West Hartford and most probably the only place in Hartford County for a long... time. Now there is too much competition - with Kung Fu tea and Gong Cha. At one time the owner would take orders over phoneand we would pick up, but eventually he became busy and hired a lot more kids to help. And that service was removed ????. Butthe staff is always great, so don't mind going in to pick up when the bubble tea craving hits. Read more

If I were to get a decent inheritance I would leave this shop some. But your website says open at noon and the door sign says... open at 10. I was on a time crunch and waited outside your shop for a half hour and then at 11 I had to go to another tea shopand it just wasn't the same. The other was consistent with time and I appreciate that, but it was like a "7". just becauseyou're a "10" doesn't mean you act crazy and okay with my time. Like with my exes I'll give you another chance and hope youchange your ways. I love you but I don't like you right now, as I am drinking some wannabe orange yogurt tea in my car in thepouring rain. So fun and delicious! Our favorite boba place by far and worth the drive. I got the Thai tea because it's got some sweetness and... husband got the coffee one which is not very sweet at all. Chewy yummy tapioca bubbles. Read more

We love Tea Break- they serve great, authentic bubble tea, are quick to prepare it, and it?s consistent and delicious! They?ve... done an amazing job weathering the pandemic, and have been cautious along the way to keep their staff and customer safe, which Ireally respect. With additional bubble tea stores opening in town, they may need to up their customer experience game to staycompetitive (not having staff hang out at tables blocked off behind the counter while customers are in the store, etc.). Theyhave a pretty large space but it?s been narrowed down for customers the past few years. They?re still our favorite bubble teaspot! Read more

I love this place! It?s become my new go-to when I need a boba tea. Staff is friendly, prices are competitive, and they do the... cool cup-sealing thing that prevents spills. All drinks are lactose free, but no vegan options. You can customize the sweetnessof your tea, which is a nice perk. Read more

What a lovely experience I had here today. i was welcomed by a very helpful barista who asked if it was my first time (it was).... She then walked me through how to order, what some of the most popular flavors were and all the options I could get with each. Iordered the Fresh Taro .. it was amazing. Such a wonderful flavor and smoothy-like texture. The ONLY downside was, beinglactose intolerant.. the lactose-free milk they use didn't agree with me. I hope they might consider an option with soy/oat inthe future. Read more

Tea break has always been my favorite go-to bubble tea spot. Always tastes good, except the last time I went the taro tea did... not taste like taro at all. Not sure what happened since the teas have always been good before this Read more

Really enjoyed the brown sugar milk tea! The tapioca is perfectly cooked (?)! Strawberry milk tea was also good, not too sweet... compared to the brown sugar milk tea. I like the location of this bubble tea place and their bubble teas are good. You shouldgive it a try! Read more
