We were very surprised that a Saturday afternoon with nice weather we walked in and the restaurant was completely empty. Even of... staff. We waited about 10 min before anyone came out that we could talk to. The menu is lacking of real German food. TheBavarian style pretzel was very fresh and was good. I got a bratwurst to eat.. their specialty & it really didn't have anyflavor. The beer selection was ok. I have been to Munich & Stuttgart so I know what a good bratwurst tastes like. If this isgoing to survive there needs to be some authenticity added to this place. Read more
Wurst Haus has a great selection of German beers and delicious food. We had the best service. The bartender made great... recommendations. The pretzel is fantastic and the duck wurst is the most flavourful. It is definitely worth a try. Read more
Wurst Haus was pretty good. The servers were friendly and attentive, and the food was tasty. If you're looking for huge portion... sizes, this is not the place for you. One bratwurst probably won't fill the average person up, but two is probably too much.They serve each brat on its own plate so ordering two is like ordering two dinners, and is a little embarrassing. Love this place except recently they have completely changed their menu. Now some of their most popular dishes, such as... schnitzel, are weekly specials. I believe that it is not a true German restaurant if they do not have their authentic dishesevery day. I would love it if they changed their menu back because their food is amazing and I don?t think it?s doing them anyfavor to make most of their dishes only weekly. Read more
Very pleasant addition to West Hartford center. Not common to see German food, but they have done it well! The pretzel is... amazing and you must try the duck wurst, best sausage we have ever had. The bar tender was very nice and the space iscomfortable. Read more
The German Goulash was absolutely melt in your mouth divine!! A fork melted through the butter soft, flavorful meat. The Brussel... Sprouts were amazing too, as well as the included sauce. The potatoes were wonderful. Good beer selection but nothing specialexcept for the excellent German beers that they focused on, so I don't hold it against them. New German fare restaurant in West Hartford with an awesome German beer selection and nice ambiance. Jalapeño Cheddar Bratwurst... as well as the pickled cabbage was very good, the schnitzel was a little soggy but the flavor was excellent. Will definitely beback! Read more
Atmosphere had comfy pub vibes. Service was great. The server was welcoming and honest about the establishment. This is not... Student Prince, but I like to think of it as a taste. It's great if thats what your looking for but if you're expecting StudentPrince from Springfield, I'm afraid the Wurst Haus doesn't scratch the itch. Wings were cooked well and the giant pretzel wasgreat (just as good as Student Prince). Beer selection was modest but satisfying. Fries were cooked well and tasty. Read more
