Excellent pizza. The clam pizza is amazing. I had my doubts about it but I was proven wrong. It?s light and full of flavor... highlighting the clam. The sausage pizza was great too. The sausage itself was yummy. The crust is thin and crunchy-ish whichwas something we really enjoyed! Read more
I am trying to explore all pizza places in New Haven. Went here as one of the recommended pizza places in West Haven area.... Surely meet the expectations. Had a classic pizza place feel. Great thin crust pizza with lots of flavor! We had a medium mozzarella with meatballs. Excellent! We heard about this place on... FOX61 so we had to try. Had heard all the hype for Zuppardis decided to try it out found the hype was well deserved. I went with their escarole and bean... pizza it was awesome! Crust was perfectly cooked to a crisp texture, greens were flavorful and topped with just the right amountof mozzarella. My husband had asked for the veggie pizza with no cheese he loved it and have to give them props for getting itright on the first try. The pepperoni was highly appreciated by our nephew. We will be back definitely worth the 40 minutedrive each way. Read more
I was finally able to visit Zuppardi's and of course I was not surprised on how good their pizza is! The New Haven area has so... many great spots! Venturing a little out of New Haven to go here, Zuppardi's is definitely worth the trip. I could smell howgood the pizza was inside once I entered! I decided to get the classic New Haven-style White Clam pie and boy it was delicious! The clams are shucked on order and I could tell that by the fresh taste! The price of the clam pie will vary by the season somake sure you ask how much it is, as it can get pricy, but for me, it was well worth the money spent! This spot has a goodclassic pizzeria feel inside and I had no complaints there! They even have a good business of selling & shipping frozen pizzas. Oh, and they even can do events with their pizza truck! So many options, with only so little stomach space to try! Idefinitely want to check out their pizza with homemade sausage next time! Read more
Really good pizza but no where near what other places in the area have to offer. I had high expectations after having tried a... bunch of top pizzerias in NY and New Haven which may have increased my expectations. The crust was a bit too doughy but $20 fora pie is tough to top.
