The Filling Station is a unique restaurant located in a former Automobile service shop. The old roll up bay doors are still... used to allow easy access in and out for outdoor dining. Indoor dining is available as well. The menu offers choices ofburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, fries, hand dipped ice cream among other 'burger joint' type menu offerings. I have dinedhere on several previous occasions and had the grilled chicken sandwiches with fries on a recent visit and it was good. Servicewas friendly and prompt. I will return again in the future. Best burger in the region!! Blend of meats (steak, brisket, etc). Cooked to perfection always. Add-ons are plentiful and equally... well prepared to order. Sides are terrific, including some of the best fries EVER! All told, a treasure of a stop. Read more

The reason I am contacting is because on Saturday August 20, 2022 I ordered lunch which included a well done burger. When I... received the order the burger was not well done. I went to the person working the front and asked if the burger can be redone. Iwant back to my seat and a few minutes later the worker approached me and said the burger can?t be redone because ?that?s nothow it works?. I asked what he meant and he said the best they can do is take the burger out of the bun (which it also hadtoppings on like cheese and ketchup) and put it back on the grill. I said that was not acceptable. I had already taken a bitefrom it that it?s not sanitary and the worker responded how is that not sanitary. At that point I realized that there was no usearguing. I asked for a manager and was told she wasn?t in. I asked if someone can be called and he said no. This is a disgracethat one of the few places in Haverstraw to have a good burger is being run like this. The result the worker said was the bestthey can do is refund my entire order and then I repurchase omitting the burger. This would have been unnecessary if they wouldhave just remade the burger how it was ordered. I?m very disappointed. Read more

The Filling Station (a converted gas station) has some of the best fries you?ll ever have ? great flavor,... always perfectly cooked and crispy, lots of dipping sauce options, big portions. I love their grilled chicken sandwich (the FowlPlay) but the burgers and other sandwiches are all really solid, including one that features fried chicken inside grilledcheese. Excellent onion rings, sweet potato fries and chicken bites. Everything is cooked fresh to order and the locationmaintains the look of its former life as a gas station and service center. I've lived in Rockland for 30 years and driven by this place countless times. I've heard it had good reviews, but only this... week, finally, spontaneously decided to pull over for a bite. BEST burger I've had in a long time. Even the bread with the sesame coating was GREAT! My daughter & I both had the TFS. W/... fries; Regular & Sweet Potato. What surprised me the most was their ICE CREAM!! OMG, Extremely creamy! My daughter hadchocolate & I just had to try the Almond Joy (coconut ice cream with almonds & chocolate pieces) Good thing we did a long hikebefore coming here! Great staff too! Friendly & attentive.
