Three visits - all different experiences but overall very pleasant . I debated between giving this a 4 or 5 star, but decided on... the 5 because it still is my favorite place in LA for a lobster roll. Lobster roll: I've tried both hot and cold, and whileboth good, I prefer the hot. That warm, buttery bread with the cold lobster is just a phenomenal combo on my palate. There's agood amount lobster in the rolls. Based on my three visits, some rolls had more lobster than others, so a bit of a hot or miss.I do wish that it was slightly bigger though. The French fries are pretty good here. Read more

Found this gem while researching seafood spots for my Cali visit. The atmosphere is nice, I personally like places where you can... see in the kitchen. When I'm looking for seafood, there's nothing wrong with a place that has people grabbing live crab out of atank to cook. It adds to the vibe! My wife and I shared a side salad, three chowder sampler, a dozen oysters, and a seafoodboil. Yes, we were hungry. ???? But honestly, the portions weren't huge. One could argue it's pricey for the portion sizes, butwe were satisfied. All of the oysters from the chef selection were delicious. I enjoyed the chowders as well, but Rhode Islandwas definitely my favorite! The seafood boil was great, but probably better suited for one person. There was only one piece oflobster and shrimp. The rest was full of clams, muscles, and potatoes. The service was satisfactory and everything came out atan appropriate cadence. I would come back if I am ever staying in the area! Read more

The grilled calamari was in a tomato sauce & came with arugula, it was probably my favorite thing we ordered. The chowders were... alright and very much felt like chowders made for Los Angeles patrons rather than true northeastern chowders. The steamed clamswere good, nothing to write home about. Overall this place is overpriced for what you get, I’m not in any hurry to go back. Read more

We ate here during DineLA, and had a great experience! The service was great from all staff. Everyone so friendly and kind! My... bf loved the bloody Maria and I LOVED the espresso martini! The New England clam chowder was so delicious! I would love to comeback and try the chowder sampler. My bf and I each got the cod sandwich with fries. My bf loved it, I thought it was just okay, but take it with a grain of salt because I’m from WI and have ridiculously high standards for fried fish. The cookie fordessert was warm, fresh, and delicious too. We would love to come back here. Read more

3 stars because the food was delicious (with an exception for the peach pie) but the service was below average which ruined the... overall experience. The hosts should leave their attitude at home and a smile would be nice too! After waiting a while, someonecame to take our drink order and then our waiter finally made an appearance to… get our drink order. We ordered a shrimpcocktail and smoked fish dip which took more than 20 minutes to come. Both were very good though. Both fish were delicious. Wethen waited another 15 minutes (at least) to finally get someone’s attention to ask for the dessert menus. Our waiter haddisappeared. We should have just stopped with the fish… the peach pie was really disappointing. Don’t bother with the scoopof vanilla ice cream… it’s the tiniest thing you’ve ever seen. Read more

Very relaxing atmosphere. I like the open concept of the dining area- high ceiling, visible kitchen, view of the outside. Great... food. You cannot go wrong with any of their cocktail drinks. Excellent mixology. We had a feast of oysters last night. Myselfand 2 companions went through 4 dozen oysters we selected from the choices they offered that night. And you can really tellthe difference between the different oysters and where they came from. While waiting for our order we enjoyed an order of friedcalamari for appetizer. Read more

A really nice, casual, and great tasting seafood dinner in West Hollywood. It’s a really welcoming and casual setting with an... open kitchen, something I really enjoy because you can watch the kitchen operate, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Ourserver Danny did a terrific job, was very polite, and helped with a few menu decisions. Parking in this area can be a pain, butI was able to find parking on SMB right out front for a 7PM Saturday dinner. For my starter I chose the Chowder Sampler whichwas comprised of 3 smaller portions of New England, Manhattan, and Rhode Island Chowder. It was nice being able to have allthree and honestly I’m not even sure if I have had the Rhode Island type before. For my entree I chose a fish of the day theAlaskan Halibut with herb oil. It was perfectly cooked and the herb oil sauce was very tasty with lots of garlic and something Iwould order again. For my side I chose the Mac n Cheese and it was one of the better ones I have had in a very long time. Iloved the crispy top and mixing it with the cheesy bottom. Overall a really nice meal in a casual setting. I would recommend toany fan of seafood. Read more

Delicious, fresh seafood. Great outdoor dining setup (large, open tent). Dog friendly.
