My friends and I came in on a Sunday right around lunchtime, we were able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Our... waitress Lauren was amazing! She made sure we had everything we needed and was very attentive despite being very busy. We are visiting the area and decided to stop at Black Jack?s. The outdoor seating was quaint and comfortable. Our server, Sarah,... had the best and most outgoing personality. 2 stars because I ordered a burger with an egg and sweet potato fries, both we?re delicious however, when the waitress brought... the food out she literally picked up the burger to ensure there was an egg on it. Let?s get the good out of the way? service was good. Now the bad. The food here was bad the burgers are paper thin and over... cooked (prob heated up). The chicken wings are from little chicks they are so small and dry as hell. They have the F word and Sword on the wall which is what I was thinking while eating this food. Me and a couple friends went here on 7/3/2022. The food here is simply not good, nether is the service. We came into the... restaurant and was told to take a seat. After waiting 15min we had to pick up our own menus from another table after thewaitress came we ordered and that was the last we heard from our waitress other than getting the check (a food runner broughtthe food). Next about the food... I ordered the build your own hamburger with the onion pedals. Firstly the hamburger only comeswith grocery store chips and if you want fries you have to pay another $3.49 (3.99 for onion pedals). The burger was very welldone and I was informed that it only comes one way (charred I assume). And the texture reminded me of meatloaf. I ate here 2 years ago and loved the burger. This time, I believe the burger was precooked and reheated as we had our food very... quickly after ordering. I requested a medium burger, it was well done. Like another reviewer, it seemed to be barely a quarterpound of beef which is difficult to cook medium. Add about $3.50 for fries (most restaurants don't charge for the fries), $3.00for iced tea and what should have cost about $6.00 was $17.00. My friend felt the same way. We won't be back. What a shame asI had been really looking forward to eating here again. I've seen all the follow-up comments from the restaurant and hope theywill put their food right instead of praising their establishment. The service was good and the waiter friendly. Service was great but that was the only thing great about our meal. A chef salad and 3 sandwiches with a 1/2 ounce bag of chips... ($12.99 each) for a total $55.60 was not worth it.
