West Jefferson is one of our favorite stops while visiting the NC mountains. There is no shortage of places to eat along the... main drag, but one street over is New River Brewing. They offer a wide range of beer on tap, something for ever taste. If yourlooking for just some munchies or a full meal, their menu will not disappoint. I got a half rack of ribs, not disappointed! Can I give more stars, please? Simply amazing! Great beer, food and service. Bri is an awesome server, she was super helpful and... nice. The game sausage is fantastic, the beer battered cauliflower is a delicious surprise, and you really don't want to missout on the banana pudding, it is heavenly. The beer is on point - try the Kentucky Common, a dark (but not heavy) delight. Theatmosphere is relaxed and easy. This gem is off the main road, don't overlook it! Read more

We ate here on a Sunday evening because it was nearby and open. Great call. The Carolina burger was great combination of... ingredients I'd never had before. And now I want more of that chili. My wife wasn't sure about her pulled pork. I had a bite,noted the subtle smoky-charcoal flavor, and then she grabbed it back. The only drawback for us was the list of items off themenu that night. Meeting Chris put this review over the top! We nearly left because the wait was long, but my husband found two seats open up at... the bar so we went for it! We ordered the chicken wings, the pulled pork fries and a Caesar salad. I devoured the fries! Myhusband was very impressed and he is hard to please because he is an awesome cook! Stopped here during a short trip to WJ for lunch and was so pleased! My whole group enjoyed their meals and beers. I did not... catch our waitress? name unfortunately but the staff was all super nice. We also had the Buffalo shrimp but it got devouredbefore the picture (also delicious)! Very good experience. Good prices. It's nice they have sample beer sizes. Waitress Allison was pleasant. I had fish and chips... which was very good, only comment is batter could use more salt or seasoning. Nice atmosphere, friendly waitress. It?s nice how they enter orders electronically at the table, so there?s no wait time for... tickets to be brought to the kitchen. Good food, slightly pricey, but similarly priced with competing breweries in the area.Nice selection of craft beers.
