Trying to support local and saw great reviews. Sadly it wasn't a great experience for us. The "salad" was maybe 2 romaine... leaves (not worth the price though the dressing was tasty). The take out process isn't working. They gave us a time, then called15min early to tell us it was ready. So by the time we rushed over and brought the pizza home it was, of course, cold. Itmightve been good otherwise. Just disappointing. :( Read more
Modern and upbeat with all hospitality expected from a NC mountain town. Unique takes like Mozzarella in Pesto and delicious... Greek style pizza. Enjoyed the seasonal cocktails, too. Take your time and enjoy ganging out with friends. The laid backatmosphere and open air dining room warrant a break with friends or family. Thoroughly enjoyed our food, the staff and theambiance. We enjoyed our dinner here. We were here for Memorial Day weekend and they were very busy. The bartender did a Great???? job... keeping up with the table's drink orders and the bar! The food was good, even with the place being so busy, the wait wasn't tolong. First time stopping here and we would go back. Lovely place in West Jefferson. Read more
This is a great option for dinner in West Jefferson. The pizzas were excellent. They have an awesome list of craft beverages... from NC and beyond. The place was hopping on a Friday night in summer but we were able to get a table inside right away. Thereare several outside tables too but those were all taken. Our server was friendly and helpful and food/drinks arrived quicklydespite the crowd. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Read more
Amazing food, atmosphere, and service! Stopped here to meet some friends while traveling home to WI from NC and so glad we... did! If you stop you NEED to order their Italian Nachos! I wish we would have just had these for our meal. Only thing I woulddo different next time is get the Alfredo and toppings on the side for dipping. Read more
We started coming here last year once restaurants started opening up again during COVID, and quickly fell in love with it. The... atmosphere is open, good social distancing, lots of local craft beer choices, and a varied menu. With two vegetarians in ourgroup, we actively seek restaurants that either offer vegetarian entrees or will accommodate changes w/o up charging forsubstituting a meat for a veggie. Home Slice does this and doesn?t make you feel guilty for accommodating the different dietrequests. Reyna (not sure if that?s the correct spelling?) has waited on us numerous times and always seems excited to see us(even if she?s super busy). I?d say she?s the main reason we came back the first 4 or 5 times. Craft beers are a little pricey,but I like how the options change and are listed on menu boards throughout the restaurant. Fun place, mildly to moderatelynoisy (depending on tile of night) , very unique bathroom decor, and a super cozy small town. Absolutely a must-visit townduring Christmas too! Read more
Home Slice is a good place to eat. We stopped in on a Saturday around lunchtime and enjoyed our time there. The restaurant is... presented well, it's very modern and seems to be kept clean. The menu options are also very diverse, you can come in for a greatburger or pasta if you would like. I think anyone who stops here would be able to find something they would enjoy. Prices wereabout average for the area and the food was good. My only gripe would be the wait time. Since it was the weekend around lunch,we had to wait about half an hour which is normal. Upon getting sat down we waited about another half hour for our food, whichseemed a bit long to me. Regardless, the food was good and we had a great time, if you stop by on a busy day just be prepared towait a bit! But I think the same could be said about many of the places in West Jefferson.
